10 Best: The Devil All the Time (2020) - 7.2
The Netflix crime drama The Devil All the Time is Pattinson's latest work and it has already made an impression with audiences. The dark and brutal film is set in rural West Virginia and follows a young man (Tom Holland) surrounded by sinister characters as he attempts to protect his family at all costs.
Pattinson has a standout supporting role as a grotesque preacher whose abusive acts cause tragedy for the young man. Along with Holland's intense lead performance, the movie is an engrossing yet ugly story of multiple storylines converging in a violent way.
9 Worst: Twilight (2008) - 5.2
Pattinson became a household name thanks to his role as Edward Cullen in the first Twilight film. The movie stars Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, a high school student new in town who falls for Edward, only to discover that he and his family are vampires.
Despite the immense popularity of the film with certain demographics, other audiences found it to be a dull and unconvincing love story. Many also pointed to Stewart and Pattinson as an issue, feeling they were miscast in their roles.

Before the Safdie Brothers helped lead Adam Sandler to one of his best performances in Uncut Gems, they did the same with Pattinson in Good Time. Pattinson plays a reckless and dim-witted criminal who spends a hectic day on the run from the authorities, trying to help his brother who was arrested.
Like Uncut Gems, this movie has a relentless pace to it that builds and builds with excitement. Audiences will be on the edge of their seats through the insane ride, and Pattinson's intense performance proved his talents to many people.
7 Worst: Cosmopolis (2012) - 5.1
In one of his first attempts to escape his Twilight persona and take on a more serious project, Pattinson teamed with iconic filmmaker David Cronenberg. In Cosmopolis, Pattinson plays a young billionaire who travels across the city in a limo to get a haircut only for the day to spiral into madness.
The ambitious film went for a detached tone, almost feeling like a science-fiction film. However, it didn't work for everyone, with many deeming the movie as lifeless, which made it hard to get invested.
6 Best: The Lighthouse (2019) - 7.5
One of the things that helped Pattinson turn his career in such a fascinating direction is his ability to find great filmmakers to work with. He teamed with David Eggers for his second directorial film called The Lighthouse.
Pattinson and Willem Dafoe star in this surreal, atmospheric horror film as two isolated lighthouse operators who are seemingly haunted by supernatural forces as they slowly go mad. The look of the film is engrossing, it is filled with unexpected humor, and the two stars are brilliant together.
5 Worst: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010) - 5.0
The third film in the Twilight series sought to add some more action to go with the teen romance story. When a series of unexplained disappearances occur, Edward and his family must prepare for battle against an army of evil vampires.
The vampire war storyline seemed to be an exciting direction to take the story in, but the result wasn't very thrilling for anyone except the franchise's diehard fans. The dull action and dragged-out story certainly didn't elevate the franchise to new popularity.
4 Best: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) - 7.7
Before stepping into the world of the popular Twilight books, Pattinson was part of the even more popular Harry Potter universe. In the fourth film of the series, Harry struggles with the sense of an approaching threat as he competes in a dangerous magic tournament. Pattinson plays Harry's main rival in the tournament.
The action-packed movie is often regarded as one of the best in the franchise. Its fast-pace style and inventive set pieces are a lot of fun and it also takes the story into darker, more threatening territory.
3 Worst: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011) - 4.9
The Twilight franchise was finally ready to come to an end and as is the trend, the final chapter was divided into two movies to draw it out just a little more. Edward and Bella are now married and expecting a child as a serious threat closes in on them.
While the series promised to be entering the exciting final chapter, even its most devoted fans saw that this film was just filler. It felt like nothing more than a setup for a more entertaining story to follow.
2 Best: Tenet (2020) - 7.8
Though Pattinson has largely avoided big blockbuster films since leaving the Twilight franchise, he couldn't resist working with Christopher Nolan. Tenet is the incredibly secretive spy movie that stars John David Washington and Pattinson as operatives trying to prevent the end of the world.
Though much of the conversation has been around the film's controversial release plan, fans who have had a chance to see it seem to be pleased with its giant action-adventure. Nolan has always delivered with large-spectacle filmmaking and it seems that he has another crowd-pleaser on his hands.
1 Worst: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) - 4.7
The second film in the Twilight saga seemed to prove that not all of these stories are going to make for compelling movies. After Bella is nearly killed in an attack, Edward leaves her for her own safety. Heartbroken, Bella begins a relationship with her friend Jacob who happens to be a werewolf.
Although there was plenty of "Team Edward vs Team Jacob" talk, this love triangle seemed to grind the franchise to a halt. Once again, it felt like there was not enough material to make for an entertaining movie and New Moon was a total bore that dragged on for way too long.
