A new clip for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has been released, featuring Newt Scamander battling his brother Theseus. This film is the second of the five planned Fantastic Beasts films that revolve around Newt and his magical suitcase of creatures. The films take place before the events of the Harry Potter series but have already begun to share a lot of connections to the popular set of films.
Fantastic Beasts 2 will feature several characters, new and old. Apart from Eddie Redmayne as Newt, Katherine Waterston will reprise her role as Tina, as well as Dan Fogler as Jacob. The film will also bring back Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone and Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald, with the latter having a much bigger role this time around. Many popular characters from the original Harry Potter series will also be included in Fantastic Beasts 2 including a young Dumbledore, a young McGonagall, and Nicolas Flamel. As for Newt's brother, Theseus Scamander will be played by Callum Turner. Theseus has been seen in previous trailers for Fantastic Beasts 2, but this new clip gives fans the best look yet at Turner's character.

First shared by ComicBook, the clip shows Newt and Tina being chased by Theseus, who is an Auror for the Ministry of Magic. The clip not only gives fans the best look at the character, but also sheds some light on the brothers' rivalry. As the pair is running away from Theseus, Newt says, "I think I may have mentioned in my letters that we have quite a complicated relationship." The brothers clearly have a rough history, which is partly due to Leta Lestrange (played by Zoë Kravitz). The full clip can be seen below.
Even though fans were concerned that Warner Bros. was developing a movie that was adapted from a fake textbook, the first film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ended up being generally well received. The sequel, however, has received criticism for keeping Depp in the role of Grindelwald due to Amber Heard's allegations of domestic violence. Some fans are also worried that with the amount of Harry Potter connections that Fantastic Beasts 2 contains, the film will break the continuity of the Harry Potter universe.
Despite the concerns fans may have for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the upcoming film is still a highly anticipated title for the Harry Potter universe. Fantastic Beasts 2 is Fandango's most anticipated movie for the fall and has already gotten positive responses from early reactions. The first eight Harry Potter films brought in a ton of money for Warner Bros. and instead of just riding the wave of success from earlier films, the Fantastic Beasts series seems to be giving fans a unique set of adventures.
