Iron Fist's Jessica Henwick is the latest addition to Godzilla vs. Kong's cast. Warner Bros. and Legendary are building towards the first crossover of their MonsterVerse, and, prior to filming, they've been busy adding cast members to director Adam Wingard's film, including the former Iron Fist and Game of Thrones star.
Little did we know in 2014 that Gareth Edwards' Godzilla would kick off yet another cinematic universe. It subsequently led to the mighty Kong's successful return to the big screen in Jordan Vogt-Roberts' Kong: Skull Island, which then opened the door for the epic MonsterVerse. However, before the two creatures fight (and presumably team up at a later time), Godzilla is getting a sequel next year to further lay down this universe's foundation in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. This will finally lead to the crossover film, Godzilla vs. Kong, starring Millie Bobby Brown, Alexander Skarsgård, Eiza Gonzalez, and Rebecca Hall. Now - not unlike its titular creatures - the cast has grown even larger.

Variety is reporting that Jessica Henwick (best known as Colleen Wing in Iron Fist and Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones) is officially joining the cast of Godzilla vs. Kong. However, as has been the case with most of the film's casting announcements - aside from crossover actors like Brown - there are currently no details available regarding her role.
Henwick played a standout character in the Marvel TV shows on Netflix as Colleen Wing, starring in Iron Fist, The Defenders, and an episode of Luke Cage. Fans were hopeful that she might return for a Daughters of the Dragon reunion with Misty Knight in Luke Cage, but seeing as both Ironfist and Luke Cage had been canceled, her opportunities to grow within the Marvel universe were growing smaller. That said, both cancelations opened the door for other opportunities, which ultimately led to Godzilla vs. Kong.
Stepping into an entirely new fictional universe, Henwick will be working alongside other actors on the verge of breaking out, including Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) and Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2). There have also been rumors that Danai Gurira (Black Panther) is being considered to star, that Kyle Chandler may return after making an appearance in the Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and that Atlanta's Brian Tyree Henry and The Nun's Demián Bichir may also show up. As for now, with nothing in the way of character descriptions, fans anticipating a massive showdown in Godzilla vs. Kong can indulge themselves in casual speculation in the meantime.
