The world of Quarter Killer is one that any fan of comic book near-futures would want to visit, but as the rebellious heroes take a job aimed at destabilizing the corporate-leaning government, fans are left to wonder how bad things can get before the series' conclusion.
The latest book released as part of the comiXology Originals line of exclusive digital content (only available on comiXology and Kindle), Quarter Killer imagines a world where the lines between the real world and simulation, video games and addiction, and music and artwork have become completely blurred. Thanks to a creative team clearly bursting with originality and attitude, the series so far has more than lived up to the impossible cool factor of its title hero, Quarter Killer. But in our exclusive preview of Quarter Killer #4, the central gang of hackers, thieves, and out of control DJs may have bitten off a bigger scheme than they can handle. But honestly, in a future of digital currency... how could anyone turn down a twelve-quarter job?
So far the creative team of Vita Ayala, Danny Lore, Jamie Jones, Ryan Ferrier, and Adrienne Lopes have, in the parlance of Quarter Killer itself, found their groove, and stuck with it. But after the team's previous casino infiltration left QK with a concussion -- and with surveillance video of an upcoming meeting too important to miss -- the rest of the gang is going into action without their fearless leader. Taking the young Aya along with them, as well. The official preview pages promise the same level of slick teamwork and improvised heisting, but the greater the stakes, the greater the cost if it goes wrong. Not to mention there are plenty of reasons why Quarter Killer may be in even greater danger now that he's holding down the fort all by himself.
Fans can enjoy the official preview pages for Quarter Killer #4, along with the full credits and plot synopsis for the issue, arriving January 29th, below:
With two issues to go in Quarter Killer -- at least for now -- this may be the first step Q, Lo, and Aya take in making the future a better place (and possibly worth the tragedies that launched the story to begin with). The full issue arrives next week, but in the time being, read on below for the full plot synopsis and credits:

- OUT OF CHANGE
- Injured in Staaten Eylandt, QK is out of commission when an anonymous message comes for a 12 quarter job. Lo Tek, Hi Top, and Aya take the mark, leaving QK to rest and recover. Their target? The offices of the New York State Senators, who hold the deciding vote on a bill that will determine the rights and powers of corporations as entities.
- While the gang infiltrates and jockey's data, QK faces some uninvited guests back at the Arcade. It looks like they've finally been pinged by Pyn's, and he is NOT happy about his old colleague getting involved in the business again.
Quarter Killer #4 will be available on January 29th for members of Amazon Prime via their Prime Reading benefit, Kindle Unlimited and comiXology Unlimited, and for purchase on Kindle and comiXology.
