It can be difficult to choose a service, but there are some that should be avoided. This is not to say that they might not work for some households, but the majority will find them revolting when compared to other services. Keep reading to learn about 10 streaming services to avoid in 2020!

10 Fubo

This is a streaming service that is often used to replace cable, and the base cost is $54.99 without any premium add-ons. The main downside is for sports fans as it doesn't include ESPN, but it does have several other channels for these fanatics to watch the games.

It also only has 30 hours of DVR recording time and can only be watched on two devices at once. When compared to YouTube TV, who offers free recording and ESPN for the same price, it is not worth it to purchase this service.

9 HBO NOW

Some people love HBO NOW, but the general consensus is that service is one of the worst. It offers all of its series as well as some feature films, but their library is nowhere near as extensive as that of Netflix or even Hulu.

The platform itself is hard to scroll through and it is quite expensive at $14.99 a month. When compared to the other plans on the market it just isn't worth it, but every once in awhile it can be useful if customers want to binge a specific HBO series.

8 Disney+

Disney+ is far from the worst streaming service out there, but it also doesn't compare to many already on the market. This platform is geared toward families with children, and those without shouldn't waste their time.

There are a few shows on this platform that adults love to watch, as well as some throwback movies, but many will soon realize that this platform doesn't have much to offer. The upside is that it is only $6.99 a month, but this money could still be better spent elsewhere.

7 DirecTV Now/AT&T TV Now

This streaming service was decent when it was first released, but now it has turned into a pile of rubble. The cost of the package has gone up to $65 or $80 a month, depending on the package, and many argue that the channel selection is very poor.

Those with YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV pay less than this for more channels that cover more of what they like to watch. The only upside is that it does come with HBO, but as discussed earlier, this channel isn't necessary for a lot of viewers.

6 Klowd TV

This streaming service reads great on paper, but the fine print is what loses them customers. The highest package is $9.99 a month, although, this doesn't include the equipment you need to purchase in order to watch their shows and movies.

There are several channels available in the United States, but if you plan to use this worldwide than viewers recommend going with a different product. There are so many other streaming services out there that it seems unnecessary to have to purchase a specialty item in order to watch their channels.

5 ESPN+

This is the service that ESPN pushes for its viewers to use, but it is less than perfect for several reasons. It is only $5 a month, but the selection is highly limited and it is not a way to watch this channel on the internet.

Many falsely believe they will be able to catch a game using this service, and they will often be disappointed to learn that the majority of the games are not shown. It is perfect for someone looking to pass the time with a random sports game, but die-hard fans should look at other options.

4 NFL Game Pass

This service might seem like a dream come true to NFL fans, but it's not if you like to enjoy the games live. Those in the United States are only privy to recordings of the games the next day ina condensed version that is around 45 minutes long.

It is priced as a one-time payment of $24.95, which isn't bad for this type of service. This doesn't boost its ranking though as a fan who wants to rely on this to see the games won't want to wait until the next day to watch it.

3 MLB.TV

This streaming service is priced at $24.99 a month or $118 for the whole year if you want to watch all of the teams in the MLB. The biggest complaint about this service is that blackouts are common in the United States and Canada.

It makes the fee seem a bit ridiculous as fans are never certain whether or not they will be able to watch the game. They might be relying on this to play the game during a house party or while they are out of town, and when it fails it can be frustrating.

2 Philo

This streaming service is not that bad, but it is not great either. Sports fans are sorely disappointed with this service as it doesn't offer local news or their favorite teams. Many use it as a replacement for cable as it is only $20 a month, but it doesn't seem worth it when local channels aren't included. Some love this service, while others who prefer to see the local news go with something else.

1 DC Universe

This is a newer service that showcases everything from the DC comics, and many aren't impressed. Customers can either pay $7.99 per month or pay $74.99 for the entire year. It is a very niche crowd that enjoys everything they have to offer, so many choose to keep the service for a month or two before unsubscribing.

It does not have every DC film ever made and many of the newer films are not included in the service. Viewers are also limited to watching it on Android, Apple, Roku, and XBOX ONE, which disappointed many with smart TVs and PlayStations.
