Pretty Little Liars: 10 Most Boyfriend-Worthy Characters

It seems like every other episode of Pretty Little Liars, the main characters are either dating someone new, have a major crush, or are caught up in some major drama with their main love interest.

Even though there are tons of love interests for each character on PLL, not every character is a great partner or even has potential. But there are a few who stand out from the pack. Here are the 10 most boyfriend-worthy characters on Pretty Little Liars.

10 Mike Montgomery

Aria's younger brother Mike (Cody Allen Christian) has some problems during his high school years, but he seems like a pretty solid partner when he dates Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish), so that definitely puts him on this list of boyfriend-worthy Pretty Little Liars characters.

Mike is a lot more normal than some of the other characters on the show. He doesn't play games and while his temper gets the best of him sometimes, that at least proves that he cares, and since he's young, he has time to get over that and become more mature.

9 Bryon Montgomery

It's not great that Aria's dad Bryon (Chad Lowe) has an affair while still married to her mom, Ella (Holly Marie Combs), but he admits his huge mistake and knows that he seriously messed up.

Since he can confess his faults and he wants to work hard to repair what he ruined, that suggests that he's got some potential as a partner. Byron and Ella get re-married in the season six episode "We've All Got Baggage" so Byron proves that he's worthy of being with her.

8 Jake

Jake (Ryan Guzman) is a love interest of Aria's in the fourth season. Aria meets him when she signs up to learn some self-defense as he teaches martial arts. It seems like fate brings them together since she's doing this to fight back against "A."

Jake's a good boyfriend to Aria and if it wasn't for Ezra being her 'one true love', it seems like they would have had a better shot at being together. He doesn't seem to have any obvious flaws or red flags. He's just a nice guy.

7 Liam Greene

Aria dates Liam Greene (Roberto Aguire) in the sixth and seventh seasons and when they split up, it's her decision and it's because of her feelings for Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding).

Fans know that Aria and Ezra absolutely have to be together, but if there was no Ezra, it seems like Aria and Liam would have worked out. They work together so he's a literary/bookworm type, which is right up her alley. Liam has intelligence and good instincts.

6 Wesley Fitzgerald

Ezra's brother Wesley (Gregg Sulkin) is only on Pretty Little Liars briefly, but fans know one major thing about him: he's not a big fan of their family.

The Fitzgeralds pride themselves on having money and so-called class instead of caring about each other and talking about feelings, so it's really cool that Wesley, like Ezra, isn't into that. That makes him boyfriend-worthy, for sure.

5 Jordan Hobart

Jordan Hobart (David Coussins) is introduced in the sixth season of the show, and it's tough for fans since they know that Hanna's supposed to be with Caleb. But even though Jordan isn't Hanna's soulmate, he's still boyfriend-worthy in many ways.

He wants to marry her so it's clear that he doesn't shy away from love. He also supports her dreams to make a difference in the fashion industry. And he wants to listen to what she has to say, even if it's tough to take in.

4 Lucas Gottesman

Lucas Gottesman (Brendan Robinson) is definitely a boyfriend-worthy character. At first, he's portrayed as a bit of a loner and someone who doesn't fit in with the rest of the kids in Rosewood. While he might seem a little odd, that's part of his charm, and everyone knows that the coolest grown-ups had a rough high school time, right?

Lucas is also a total computer genius, which makes him compelling, so he has that in his favor.

3 Ezra Fitz

Ian Harding's PLL character, Ezra Fitz, would make a perfect boyfriend for anyone. He really has all of the personality traits that someone would put on their checklist: he's nice, smart, caring, funny, and knows what he wants to do with his life.

Ezra really solidifies his boyfriend-worthy status at the end of the series when he tells Aria that he'll help her through her fertility issues and they'll be okay. This is huge since she was worried about talking to him about this, and it shows that he's got the emotional maturity needed to be a real partner.

2 Caleb Rivers

Caleb Rivers (Tyler Blackburn) is definitely a hopeless romantic, even if he would never admit that. He and Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) have a dramatic romance throughout the show's seven seasons and with each scene that Caleb is in, he proves even more that he's the perfect boyfriend.

Caleb follows his heart and his gut and he's not caught up in looking cool or being liked. Even though he's not from a stable family background, he can still commit to Hanna, which wins him points.

1 Toby Cavanaugh

Toby Cavanaugh (Keegan Allen) proves that he's boyfriend-worthy every time that he does his best to love Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) and protect her. He even becomes a cop so he can help make sure that Spencer and her friends are okay.

Toby doesn't let go of something or someone that he cares about. Even with some mistakes along the way, like becoming part of the "A" team, he shows Spencer that he's never going to leave her.
