10 Flags of Our Fathers (2006) - 7.1

Directed by Clint Eastwood, this war epic is based on the true story of the American soldiers' viewpoint of the battle of Iwo Jima in the Pacific theater of World War II.

The battle is known for many reasons, one of the biggest being the image of six American marines and soldiers helping to raise an American flag claiming land on Japanese soil. The film earned great reviews and is worth a watch for fans of the war epic.

9 Filth (2013) - 7.1

Filth stars James McAvoy as a police officer who will do anything to get a promotion. Jamie Bell plays a co-worker of McAvoy's who doesn't pose much of a threat to the latter's crazy ambition but still needs to be dealt with.

The movie is an outlandish and wild ride throughout, with a lot of twists and turns that are hard to see coming. 8 Snowpiercer (2013) - 7.1

Bong Joon-ho's Snowpiercer stars Chris Evans and Jamie Bell as passengers on a perpetually moving train. The movie delves into class hierarchies as those at the front of the train live in luxury while those at the back live in despair and squalor, barely surviving on disgusting rations.

As part of the underprivileged, Evans and Bell lead a rebellion to fight their way to the front of the train. Snowpiercer is an intense and gritty film that can be tough to watch at times but is definitely worth it.

7 Skin (2018) - 7.2

Jamie Bell stars in the A24 produced film as a former skinhead member of a Neo-Nazi group turned informant for the FBI. He decides he no longer wants to be a part of the white supremacist group, so he leaves and gets married and interacts with people of other races and religions. However, Bell's character is continually harassed by the group to the point where he realizes he needs to shut them down.

Skin is a rough and brutal movie that does not pull any punches, while also showing Bell's great acting range.

6 Defiance (2008) - 7.2

This war film tells the true story of a group of Polish Jewish brothers who recruited people to their cause to save Jewish people during World War II.

Jamie Bell plays one of the younger brothers and is part of the core of this resistance group. They build a society outside of the designated ghetto in the nearby forest. Defiance has pretty good reviews, especially on IMDb, and is worth a watch especially for fans of war films.

5 King Kong (2005) - 7.2

The movie monster epic, King Kong, was directed by Peter Jackson and stars Adrien Brody, Naomi Watts, Jack Black, and Andy Serkis, with the latter providing motion capture for King Kong.

4 Jane Eyre (2011) - 7.3

This adaptation of the famous Charlotte Brontë novel has Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender in the titular roles. The movie centers on Jane and flashes back and forth between her childhood and her life as a governess where she meets Edward Fairfax Rochester (Fassbender).

Jamie Bell plays St. John Rivers, who welcome Jane into his and his sisters' house at a low point of her life. For the most part, reviewers praised this adaptation of the iconic work. If period pieces are your thing, this is definitely one to check out.

3 The Adventures of Tintin (2011) - 7.3

This beautifully animated film, based on the original cartoon series, follows young reporter Tintin (voiced by Jamie Bell) and his dog Snowy. The Adventures of Tintin sees Tintin and his loyal dog get mixed up in the search for a treasure and are kidnapped in the process.

Tintin begins to search for the treasure himself, while Snowy and other characters are introduced throughout the story. It's a fun film with nice animation and an entertaining plot.

2 Rocketman (2019) - 7.3

Rocketman tells the story of Elton John (played by Taron Egerton) from his childhood to his meteoric rise in the music world and recovery from various addictions. Jamie Bell plays his loyal best friend and songwriter, Bernie Taupin, that remains level-headed throughout their rise to fame.

Bernie is always there for Elton and it's nice to see a long-running and pure friendship like that in the midst of fame and fortune. Rocketman strikes a good balance between comedy, drama, and music, including a rendition of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" sung by Taron Egerton and Jamie Bell.

1 Billy Elliot (2000) - 7.7

Billy Elliot tells the story of a boy growing up in the 1980s and his aspirations to be a ballet dancer, much to the chagrin of his coal miner father and older brother.

Billy (played by a young Jamie Bell) continues to attend the ballet lessons he's so passionate about without his father knowing. Although they continually fight throughout the film, Billy Elliot does have a happy and heartwarming ending. A very young Jamie Bell delivers an impressive performance that alone makes this film worth a watch.
