Recently, it was reported Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were staying at opposite ends of their mansion, in order to remain "civil" during the Coronavirus quarantine. Unfortunately, the friction between the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and her husband have only increased, with new reports stating Kim wants more space.
Over the course of Kim and Kanye's six-year marriage, the couple has grown both their family and their enterprises. With four children together, 6-year-old North, 4-year-old Saint, 2-year-old Chicago and 1 -year-old Psalm, and growing careers the pair seemed unstoppable. While things appear to be going well for the two on the outside, it's been revealed the quarantine has put a strain on their relationship.
Despite Kim's consistent social media appearance of promotion of her SKIMS collection, family photos, and of course selfies, an exclusive source to US Weekly reported the dynamic couple is having more problems while on lockdown together. It was originally reported the couple was staying at opposite ends of the house to refrain from the consistent arguing that was occurring. Now the news outlet reveals things are getting worse, citing, "Kim feels like she needs some more space from Kanye... She is trying to be a great mom, focus on law school, and her work commitment and it's hard to do all of this without Kanye helping as much as he can."
Kim's overwhelming responsibilities and lack of assistance isn't the only issue. The 42-year-old rapper is reportedly "super-controlling," causing Kim to feel "as though he's been trying to impose his views on her life." Although, things have been rocky for the couple the US Weekly source added, "They've had more time together to talk about their feelings, about the kids, her law career goals and his business ideas... She's trying to keep her family together, especially for the kids' sake."
It is normal for married couples to have a rough patch, and with all the added stresses currently occurring it is understandable for that patch to arise during a time of isolation. Kim and Kanye may be struggling with their marriage now, but it is assuring to know they are talking through things. Even though Kim says she wants space she still desires the best for her family. Additionally, wanting space does not mean it's the end of their marriage. Space is good for everyone, however, that can be hard to come by in quarantine with a family.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians returns to Thursdays at 8pm on E! in September.
