Sonja Morgan, best known for her role on The Real Housewives of New York, just confirmed that she has had a facelift. Fans showed their support for the star’s decision, telling her again and again that she looks amazing.
Spunky blonde Sonja has been a mainstay of the hit show since 2008. Thanks to her friendship with the women, especially Ramona Singer, Sonja has happily shared her many escapades with fans. The newest season shows Sonja standing her ground against the other alpha females, which includes an altercation with Luann de Lesseps about starring in her cabaret show. Sonja also told fans that she was upset about being called a trophy wife during a recent episode. The implication that she was just arm-candy to her ex-husband, John Adams Morgan, made the RHONY star irate.
This season, The Real Housewives of New York took a break halfway through filming so they could tape at-home confessionals. Instantly, viewers noticed that Sonja looked different upon her return to the small screen and many wondered if she had some work done during her time off. Now, the queen of Manhattan has announced the news herself in an Instagram post, sharing a before and after picture of her face. After all the speculation around Sonja’s “fresh look," the reality star admitted to having a lower facelift and neck lift upon wrapping up season 12. Sonja also revealed in her social media post that many in her close inner circle thought she was crazy for undergoing going the procedure since the results were so subtle. But the socialite was set on perfecting herself. For Sonja, the surgery was a no brainer. According to her "gravity" had taken its toll. She also claimed that the surgery felt like the perfect pick me up after the last season of RHONY. Lastly, Sonja made sure to thank her plastic surgeon, Dr. Jacono, since "he hit it out of the park." According to Sonja, he used a method called deep plane, which goes under the muscle, leaving the skin attached. The blood continues to flow, and the patient heals fast.
There is no doubt that Sonja looks younger and more vibrant after her surgery. It's also no surprise that another housewife has decided to take the plunge under the knife. The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dolores Catania recently opened up about her tummy tuck. Sonja has never hidden the lengths she will go to keep her youth. At least this surgery sounds a little more palatable than a facial filled with bird poo!
