Emily In Paris: Emily’s Possible Lovers, Ranked | ScreenRant

Netflix's Emily in Paris hit the ground running with Lily Collins as Emily Cooper. Created by Darren Star (who also helmed Sex and the City), Emily finds herself uprooting her life in Chicago and moving to Paris for a promotion at her marketing firm. But her time abroad turned into much more than just work.

After breaking up with her American boyfriend Doug, Emily finds herself in unique situations with different men she meets around the city and in the workplace. And while she didn't end the season with a boyfriend, the possibilities for who she could end up with in season 2 are endless.

7 Antoine

Antoine Lambert is the president of a perfume company called Maison Lavaux and happens to be Emily's client. Thanks to Emily's outgoing personality and youthful style, she definitely caught his eye but there are a few roadblocks in his way. For starters, Antoine is married and having an affair with Emily's boss, Sylvie. Sylvie is also very judgmental and hateful towards Emily, so even if there was any kind of attraction on Emily's part, things would be shut down immediately because of Sylvie.

With Emily being just 22 years old, she deserves more in a partner than a wayward married man.

6 Fabien

A single, beautiful woman running around Paris finding herself and meeting handsome strangers along the way is the perfect synopsis for a romantic comedy — and Lily Collins nailed the title role.

In the episode "Sexy Or Sexist," Emily goes to Mindy's house party to unwind. There, she meets a Frenchman named Fabien. The attraction between them is obvious as the two leave the party and go for a flirty stroll in the city. Sadly, just as things were heating up, Fabien said something far too graphic for Emily's ears and she ran away. Fabien could have been the perfect match but he let his desire get the best of him.

5 Doug

Doug gets a bad rep in Emily in Paris because he's the guy who tried to get Emily to stay in Chicago instead of live her best life in Paris. He could have held her back from a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was a very similar plot point to Sex and the City when people didn't want Carrie moving from New York to Paris. But if fans can ignore the fact that Doug was being a whiny boyfriend, he was just a man who missed his girlfriend. He didn't want her to leave because he loved her and liked their life together. Emily also took the job without talking it over with Doug, so his shock was understandable.

These two are an obvious mismatch but he was clearly a good enough boyfriend before Emily made her big decision.

4 Thomas

After a hard day at work, Emily found herself drinking wine alone at a restaurant. A handsome stranger named Thomas sat next to her and the two started talking, and by the end of the night, the pair shared a bottle of wine and were playfully flirting.

Thomas seemed like the whole package. He was French, he had a great job as a philosophy teacher, and he seemed worldly. Sadly, Thomas's true colors shone through and proved himself to be too snobby. Gabriel and Camille tried warning Emily that Thomas was no good but she had to find it out herself.

3 Timothée

Things were looking up for Emily when she went to Camille's family's chateau in Champagne, to see their vineyard. While on a tour, Emily met Camille's handsome brother, Timothée ,and assumed he was the brother Camille tried hooking her up with.

Timothée was thoughtful, playful, and a good listener. The two ended up spending the night together after too much champagne, much to Emily's delight. However, the following morning, Emily found out Timothée was only 17 years old! Being five years older than Timothée freaked her out and she left the chateau in a panic. But if we moved past this awkward mistake — Emily truly didn't know how old he was — Timothée could have been an excellent partner for Emily... He just needs to be of age first.

2 Mathieu

Mathieu is the handsome nephew of fashion designer, Pierre Cadault. Mathieu works for his uncle's label and ends up working closely with Emily on the marketing side of things.

It's clear from the start that Mathieu and Emily are smitten with each other. However, Emily had her hands full between Gabriel and Thomas to even focus on the love connection between her and Mathieu. Once Thomas was out of the picture and she swore off Gabriel, Mathieu was an excellent choice for Emily. He's mature, has an amazing career, and has connections all over the city. He's also wildly romantic.

1 Gabriel

It's hard not to root for Gabriel and Emily. They have everything against them and yet they make the perfect couple. Gabriel doesn't just have a girlfriend, but that girlfriend is one of Emily's new friends, Camille.

Emily knows Gabriel is a great guy but has to keep her distance from him or else she could break up a happy couple and jeopardize her friendship with Camille. But the connection Emily and Gabriel have is completely transparent on-screen. Who knows — in season 2, these two crazy kids might have a chance.
