Leave it up to Brandi Glanville to find a way to involve herself in Erika Jayne's recent divorce filing. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star came under fire on Wednesday after she posted an extremely harsh post aimed at Erika's breakup. However, according to Brandi she only posted it because she was under the influence of Xanax.
After 21 years of marriage and no children or prenup, Erika Girardi decided to call it quits with husband Thomas Girardi. The couple had been married since 1999 and appeared rock solid despite their 33-year age gap. But, things appear to have gotten shaky for the couple amid Tom's current legal issues. The attorney was slapped with a lawsuit by a rival legal firm over accusations of fraud and stealing money. Erika has been silent on her husband's legal woes as she started filming season 11 of RHOBH. Fans were shocked when the singer announced their divorce this week. “After much consideration, I have decided to end my marriage to Tom Girardi," she said in a statement.
While other housewives have remained silent on the matter, an estranged friend of the show, Brandi Glanville, took to social media to share her two cents. In a since-deleted post, Brandi shared a splintered photo of the couple on her Instagram account along with a link to a story on the divorce news. After getting the attention she wanted, she deleted the post and took to Twitter to blame it all on her prescription meds. “I took a Xanax earlier because of what’s going on in this world," she said in a tweet captured by All About The Tea. "I didn’t see the post on my IG about @erikajayne until this eve & I deleted it the second I saw it.” She continued, “As I’ve said in the past o lease my social media out. I in no way would’ve been that insensitive.”
It's no secret that Brandi desires to be a full-time housewife. In September, she used her two sons to beg executive producer Andy Cohen for a full-time spot on the show. According to Brandi, the show uses her for storylines and ratings because the other housewives are boring. Last season was rocked by allegations Brandi made against Denise Richards who she claims to have slept with.
Denise denied the allegations and decided to leave the show. Erika has yet to respond to Brandi's latest attempt to be included in a storyline.
