What J.Lo Would Look Like as She-Hulk in the MCU

Fan artist BossLogic has turned a photo of Jennifer Lopez showing off her biceps into a convincing argument that J.Lo should play She-Hulk in the MCU. Also known as Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk is the cousin of Bruce Banner, and gained green skin and super-strength after Bruce gave her a blood transfusion. Unlike the Hulk, she is able to consciously control her transformation, but generally opts to stay in her big green form all the time.

A lawyer by day, Jennifer Walters has a quick wit and a habit of breaking the fourth wall in the comics - often complaining to her writers about the situations that they put her in. Brigitte Nielsen came close to playing a live-action version of She-Hulk in the 90s, and there were even promotional shots of her in costume, but sadly the movie never got made.

After Lopez shared a photo to her Instagram feed that displayed her impressive biceps, popular superhero fan artist BossLogic used it as a template to create artwork showing the actress with green skin, green hair, and She-Hulk's leotard and purple gloves. J.Lo is currently on tour, and explained in her Instagram post that doing 15 shows in 27 days has inspired her to "be in the best shape of my life." Clearly all those workouts have paid off! Check out the awesome artwork below, alongside the original photo.

She-Hulk has plenty of fans who would love to see her in the MCU, but the movie rights to the character are somewhat complicated. Like her cousin, the Hulk, She-Hulk's movie distribution rights belong to Universal Pictures, who have right of first refusal. What that means is that if Marvel Studios were to make a Hulk or She-Hulk movie then Disney would only be able to distribute it if Universal turned down the option- which they're unlikely to do. So, Disney would have to split the profits of a standalone Hulk film with Universal.

That doesn't preclude the possibility of She-Hulk joining the MCU as part of an ensemble, since Universal's rights only apply to standalone Hulk movies. Bruce Banner has happily co-existed with the rest of the Avengers by appearing in team-up movies, so perhaps She-Hulk could do the same one day. But in the meantime, at least we have fan art.
