10 Insurgent (2015) - 28%

This is the sequel in the Divergent series. This one definitely takes a more dystopian, action-adventure approach. We see Tris (Shailene Woodley) rocking her short hair once again, and you'll definitely get your fill of romance, drama, and action. She stars alongside Ansel Elgort, Theo James, Miles Teller, Octavia Spencer, and Zoe Kravitz. If you love a good dystopian teen drama, look no further than this series. Yes, a 28% isn't much to brag about, but, hey, it's entertaining nonetheless.

9 Endings, Beginnings (2019) - 30%

This movie follows a woman who is trying to navigate love and heartbreak. However, she begins unpacking secrets from her life, and a sudden turn of events makes her life all the more interesting and complicated. Shailene is the lead, and her co-star is Jamie Dornan (yes, that's Mr. Grey). This movie didn't do great with the critics, but it's definitely an interesting drama that keeps things pretty close to home. If you want a late-night flick with your friends, here you go.

8 Divergent (2014) - 42%

This is the first movie in this teen novel film-adaptation series. Taking place in a futuristic, dystopian world, society is separated into factions. There is one faction, the "divergents" who are seen as different and dangerous.

Tris finds herself placed here, and she quickly uncovers a plot of the rulers to destroy them altogether. Again, this teen drama is action-packed and will take you on a wild adventure. If you love Shailene, love the rest of this cast, and love intense action, we say you'll fall in love with this movie. Forget what the critics say—who doesn't love a good dystopian flick?

7 White Bird in a Blizzard (2014) - 54%

This film takes place in 1988. It surrounds a teenage girl, Shailene Woodley, who finds herself in chaotic and complicated times after the disappearance of her mother. When she returns home from college, she is forced to confront the truth, and her denial spirals into murky waters.

This mystery thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat, and this movie is definitely a hidden and underrated flick. Again, it didn't do so great with the reviews, but it's still a pretty interesting watch.

6 Snowden (2016) - 60%

This biography drama is based on the true story of Edward Snowden. Snowden is known for leaking classified documents during his position with the NSA's surveillance team to the press. Directed by Oliver Stone, Joseph Gordon-Levitt takes the lead in this one. However, Shailene Woodley is his #1 co-star, and the acting in this film is pretty phenomenal. While it didn't do super well with the critics, the story is incredible and intense, and we love these two. So, you might as well give it a watch.

5 Adrift (2018) - 70%

This film definitely separated Shailene away from the cheesy teen dramas. This movie is also based on a true story, which makes it all the more devastating and intense. A young couple, who embark on a sailing trip across the ocean, get caught in a catastrophic hurricane. They fight for survival in the midst of their budding love.

Starring Sam Clafin and Shailene Woodley, this film is a stunning visually and is full of beautiful young romance and tragedy. It's also an incredible tale of the human spirit and resilience and will tear your heart out before filling it whole again. Seriously, we recommend it.

4 The Fault in Our Stars (2014) - 81%

It's no secret that this is the movie that made us all fall in love with Shailene Woodley. She also stars alongside Ansel Elgort in this teen drama, where the two play two young cancer patients. They travel to Amsterdam in search of their favorite author, where they find love and hope amidst their illness.

This movie is actually incredibly genuine and relatable, all while being hilarious, heart-wrenching, and heartwarming. You'll also find Nat Wolff, Willem Dafoe, and Laura Dern in the mix, and we seriously can't praise this film enough. You'll cry, and you'll also laugh. Go re-watch it, because we know you've all seen it before.

3 The Descendants (2011) - 89%

Shailene stars alongside George Clooney, Amara Miller, Patricia Hastie, and Nick Krause in this comedy-drama. With Clooney as the lead, he plays a man who tries to reconnect with his two daughters after his wife is seriously injured. This movie is funny, relatable, and a stunning story about family. If you haven't seen it before, clearly Rotten Tomatoes supports our recommending of it. Of course, we know you can't resist Shailene Woodley AND George Clooney.

2 Big Little Lies (2017-) - 90%

Yes, we know this isn't a movie, but it's also the second highest-rated project that Shailene has been a part of. This drama series just finished its second season this year, and it's absolutely brilliant. With Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern (again), Zoe Kravitz (again), and Shailene Woodley at the forefront, this show is intense, hilarious, and totally drama-filled.

These brilliant women all play mothers in a small, rich town, whose lives are turned upside down when a murder occurs at a school fundraiser. Every single moment in this show is breathtaking, and you're seriously missing out if you haven't seen it. If you have, we know you're waiting eagerly for season 3.

1 The Spectacular Now (2013) - 91%

This is another teenage romance drama. This time, Shailene stars alongside Miles Teller (again). Teller plays Sutter, a high school senior who is also a popular, partying kind of guy. However, he meets Aimee (Woodley), who is quiet, nice, and totally different.

Yes, it's as cliche as it comes, but clearly the Rotten Tomatoes gods think this romance drama deserves some pretty stellar recognition. Also, these two are fantastic, so who are we to argue? If you've seen The Fault in Our Stars and are seeking more, maybe you should hop on over to this romantic comedy. It's all you could ever need, and, let's be honest, it'll make your heart melt regardless of how cheesy it is.
