Caleb Landry Jones Roles: Where You Know The Get Out Star

Here's where else you've seen the work of Caleb Landry Jones. While a lot of actors start their careers in obscure STV movies or TV shows, Caleb Landry Jones' first roles came with appearances in the likes of Friday Night Lights, Breaking Bad and No Country For Old Men. In the latter, he appeared as one of the teenagers who helps an injured Chigurh (Javier Bardem) after his car accident. He followed his role as "Boy on Bike" with an uncredited appearance as "Boy at Party" in Superbad and Fraternity Boy in The Social Network. He also appeared in 2010 horror movie The Last Exorcism.

Caleb Landry Jones first big breakthrough came with X-Men: First Class in 2011, where he played young Sean Cassidy / Banshee. While it was a small part in the context of the story, but it would lead the young actor to bigger and bigger roles. He followed the movie with a part in Mark Wahlberg's Contraband and Neil Jordan's stylish vampire movie Byzantium. He played the lead in 2012 sci-fi chiller Antiviral, which was helmed by Brandon Cronenberg, son of director David. Antiviral received mostly solid reviews and further solidified Caleb Landry Jones as an emerging talent.

Caleb Landry Jones continued to work steadily in the years that followed, with roles in God's Pocket alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman, Queen And Country with Vanessa Kirby and director Roland Emmerich's drama 2015 drama Stonewall. After another scene-stealing turn in dark comedy thriller War On Everyone, 2017 would prove to be the year that made everyone notice the actor.

First up was Get Out, where Caleb Landry Jones played Jeremy Armitage. Jones' deeply creepy turn made him a perfectly hateable villain and made it all the more satisfying when he receives his comeuppance. The actor followed up with a trio of acclaimed movies, including The Florida Project with Willem Dafoe, American Made with Tom Cruise and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Most of these projects proved Jones had a knack for stealing movies, even from established stars like Tom Cruise or Woody Harrelson.

Adding to a stacked year, he also made an appearance on Twin Peaks: The Return as Steven Burnett. Following his killer run in 2017, Caleb Landry Jones followed up with mostly indie projects like Tyrel, Welcome The Stranger with Abbey Lee and drama The Kindness Of Strangers. In 2019 he had a role in Jim Jarmusch's deadpan zombie comedy The Dead Don't Die, and coming next is musical drama Viena and the Fantomes with Zoe Kravitz and Bios, a sci-fi movie with Tom Hanks.
