Teen Wolf: 10 Couples That Would Have Made A Lot Of Sense (But Never Got Together)

When it came to Teen Wolffans had the pleasure of watching numerous romances blossom on-screen. Despite the residents of Beacon Hills spending most of their time saving the town from the supernatural, Scott and his pack did manage to have some semblance of a social life.

Fans had mixed opinions on the show's final OTPs, particularly when some romances felt more rushed than others. There were also opportunities to explore other pairings but were cut off before they can blossom - whether it being due to characters leaving, dying or the storyline was going in another direction. Here are 10 couples that would have made a lot of sense (but never got together).

10 Erica & Boyd

Poor Erica and Boyd's characters didn't have a chance to fully develop before their untimely deaths. However, it did appear as if Boyd and Erica could have got together before they were captured by the Alpha Pack. The pair first bonded over their werewolf status, recruited by Derek after he gained his alpha status.

Eventually, the pair abandoned Derek's pack and decided to take their chances by finding a new one. The fact that Erica and Boyd were willing to stick with one another illustrates how deep their bond ran. Boyd was also seen to be the most affected by her death. What a shame it was that the viewers never got to see this develop more on-screen.

9 Theo & Malia

Even though Theo came to Beacon Hills, intending to steal Scott's pack, he did manage to find a connection with some members - especially Malia. As soon as Theo arrived, Malia didn't hide the fact that she thought he was attractive.

Theo proved to be a strong confidant for Malia, helping her come to terms with her recovered memories of the Desert Wolf and offering to teach her how to shift. Malia did appear receptive to his advances at times but would stop before anything could come of it. If Theo's intentions were pure, there was a chance that a romance could have blossomed.

8 Danny & Jackson

While fans had so many questions about Ethan and Jackson's relationship (like how they got together), is no one a little disappointed that they didn't even consider putting Jackson and Danny together? No offense to Ethan and Jackson but Danny had a lot more in common with the kanima-werewolf than the former Alpha.

Both Jackson and Danny have a history together, growing up to be childhood best friends. Danny was also the better match for Jackson as he was the only person to pull him up on his insecurities and arrogant behavior. It wouldn't have even been surprising if Danny and Jackson got together, especially since Danny's hacking skills could have helped Jackson in the fight with the supernatural. Now there was a potential spin-off wasted.

7 Erica & Stiles

Once more, Erica was robbed of further character development when the writers hinted that she had feelings for Stiles. In season 2, Erica revealed to Stiles she had a crush on him that dated back to elementary school. Due to Stiles' feelings for Lydia, he didn't take much notice of Erica until she became a werewolf.

In season 2, Erica and Stiles began a flirtatious friendship. Despite them being on opposite sides, Stiles was seen to be protective over the young werewolf, calling himself the "Batman to her Catwoman" and rushing to her aid when she had a seizure. It would have been interesting to see if this friendship could have grown into something more.

6 Parrish & Lydia

This was a weird one actually - even though there was always an underlying sexual tension between Lydia and Parrish, nothing came of it. The pair grew closer after Lydia helped Parrish figure out that he was a Hellhound, whilst he offered to give her self-defense classes.

This bond was further strengthened when the pair found themselves to be supernaturally connected. Combine this with their altruistic and helpful personalities, they would have made a solid couple. Who knows, if Lydia's relationship with Stiles didn't work out then Parrish could have made her just as happy.

5 Stiles & Derek

Out of all the 'ships on Teen Wolf, no other couple has as many supporters as Sterek. Although the relationship was non-canon, fans grew to love the scenes involving Stiles and Derek. In the beginning, the pair started as enemies because they were suspicious of one another - with Stiles accusing Derek of murdering his own sister.

Over time, the bond between the pair grew stronger as the pair worked on numerous supernatural cases together. The seeds of romance were a possibility as both Stiles and Derek also proved to be protective over one another, coming to each other's rescue when most needed. Let's not forget their chemistry, which had a natural flow.

4 Scott & Lydia

Although nothing came of this relationship, the writers did contemplate putting Lydia and Scott together in season 1. Let's be honest, there was chemistry between them in the early stages but no one could fully back them out of respect to Allison and Stiles.

However, when Stiles and Allison began new relationships, what was stopping them? Scott was very protective of Lydia and offered to help her with her newfound supernatural abilities. Over time, Lydia grew to respect Scott, hating to see him put in harm's way and tutoring him in her spare time. It may be a controversial opinion, but it could have worked.

3 Peter & Kate

It would have been a huge disaster waiting to happen but boy was there some great chemistry between Ian and Jill. Out of all the villains on the show, Kate Argent and Peter Hale were the most memorable. They were the two who caused the most trouble for Scott, teaming up to try to kill him and his pack on numerous occasions.

If fans removed the unwavering hatred they had, Kate and Peter would have been perfect for each other. Peter became a mentor to Kate after making her promise that she would help to restore him to former glory. Ultimately, the pair became close allies after this. Yet, with both seeking vengeance against Scott, it wouldn't have been surprising if they ended up romantically involved.

2 Deaton & Melissa

This couple may be a wildcard but it does make a lot of sense if fans take into consideration how similar they are. One of the most surprising elements of the show was the lack of scenes these two shared, especially when the one common factor they had was Scott.

Melissa and Deaton proved to be assets to Scott's pack, their medical training, and scientific knowledge proving beneficial in the toughest times. They also bonded over Scott's welfare, with Deaton treating the werewolf as if he was his own son. It was surprising that these two never shared any heart-to-hearts with the amount of danger Scott was put in.

1 Melissa & Sheriff Stilinski

Out of all the people Melissa could have ended up with, no one expected it to be Chris Argent. Most fans were hoping that she would have ended up with Sheriff Stilinski. It made the most sense, right? With Stiles and Scott acting more as brothers than friends, everyone assumed that Melissa and Noah would have grown closer over their kids' shenanigans.

Let's not forget how she looked after him and was touched when Stiles unconsciously called her "mom". Both Noah and Melissa also shown to be a pillar of strength for each other - especially when they felt like they were in over their heads with the supernatural events. Just think of all the comedy we could have had if they got married and Stiles and Scott lived in the same house.
