10 Marvel Shows That Could Be Announced In The Secret Disney Plus Lineup

It's recently been rumored that more Disney+ shows could be in development from Marvel Studios. One of them is the major crossover event known as Secret Invasion. However, there could be more to this than we realize.

With one other secretive show rumored to be put in development—and who knows how many more series under wraps in the House of Mouse—we're taking a look at 10 Marvel projects that could be announced as part of this secret Disney+ lineup.

10 Damage Control

Some years ago, there were reports that a series based on Damage Control could be put into development and indeed was in the early stages of its creation. The organisation has actually been introduced into the MCU, but we have barely seen it since its debut.

The original idea for the show would be that it was a comedy of sorts, dealing with the aftermath of the superhero battles. However a show that can play off of other Disney+ shows, perhaps even using some of the same characters and locations would be really fun.

9 Defenders

With the rights of the characters used on Netflix returning to Marvel in the near future, it makes sense that they would want to capitalize on their popularity. There have been many reports that Kevin Feige is actually quite high on Charlie Cox, in particular.

Heroes such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Punisher have struck a chord with many fans, so a PG version of these characters could make a comeback into a sort of follow up that would put all of the Defenders in one ongoing show.

8 Young Avengers

We know that plenty of members of the Young Avengers have been brought into the MCU. With Kate Bishop incoming on Disney+ and Stature already hanging around—alongside Wiccan and Speed already teased for the future—the Young Avengers is the next step.

We could see Disney changing the roster slightly, perhaps adding Ms. Marvel or maybe even a version of Nova to the mix. However, it's very logical that the Young Avengers would be on Disney+, as they appeal to young audiences who would have the streaming service.

7 Journey Into Mystery

Marvel has had a few ideas for anthology series, and we'll soon be looking at the MCU from a variety of alternate realities. However, the universe doesn't have a series that can connect all the many dots and bring back lesser-known characters.

A show like Journey Into Mystery would be able to explore locations and events that the films and other shows could barely touch on while simultaneously shining a spotlight on characters who don't often get a chance, such as Doc Samson or Lady Sif.

6 Ghost Rider

The character of Ghost Rider has made his MCU debut already and was set to receive his own series on Hulu. However, this was stopped for the time being, with the Robbie Reyes version of the character being benched.

We can absolutely see Disney+ getting a Ghost Rider show with a variety of people taking on the mantle, including the previously feature Robbie Reyes, the classic Johnny Blaze, and perhaps even obscure creations like the version from 10,000,000 BC.

5 Agents of S.W.O.R.D.

We know that S.W.O.R.D. is coming to the MCU after Nick Fury's post-credit teaser, and some set photos containing the logo of the organization. As the MCU continues to go more cosmic, a defensive group needs to be created.

A show based on these heroes fighting off alien threats would be very compelling and could give some former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents a second home once their own series has finished. Plus, it comes with a natural lead with Abigail Brand and links to Secret Invasion.

4 New Warriors

The New Warriors are also a group that has been discussed to get a TV show, and, for some time, Squirrel Girl was said to be the lead of this unusual group. The project faded away over the years but this seems like a sensible time to bring it back.

There's a number of other heroes of a similar age such as the Runaways and Cloak and Dagger who could be supporting players in this series, and we'd love for it to take the reality show approach that the comics previously did.

3 Inhumans

Unfortunately, the first time the Inhumans were adapted to the small screen, it was a major failure. With the species becoming more relevant thanks to the debut of Ms. Marvel, it also makes sense to have a second go with these iconic comic book characters.

It's extremely likely that the original show will be recast, and this would be a full-on reboot, perhaps the only one of the MCU so far. However, this provides another opportunity for the galactic elements of this universe to be explored a little bit more.

2 Marvel Knights

With the Punisher, Blade and Moon Knight, alongside other characters of a similar ilk, it makes sense that Disney would want to move forward with some kind of team-up show called Marvel Knights.

These characters were incredibly successful in the comics under the same title, and it would fit perfectly on the streaming service and provide a natural sequel to many of the shows we've spoken about above, including that of Ghost Rider.

1 Agent Carter

Agent Peggy Carter is a beloved member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and received a two-season hit show that was canceled before it could ever be concluded. This needs to be rectified and Disney+ may just do that.

The streaming network has already revived other fan-favorite series such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, so it wouldn't be a massive surprise if they've been sitting on the fact that everyone's favorite British agent could be returning to the small screen.
