Prince William and Kate Middleton will take a break from their royal duties to spend time with their kids. The monarchy has already lost one power couple and is hoping they are not about to lose another.
The royals are currently going through a provisional phase, following some not-so-private personal matters surfacing in the public eye thanks to Prince Harry. As the future King of England, Prince William has been reared from a young age to keep a stiff upper lip when it comes to his personal or public business. Since his brother has decided to step aside from the royal family, the future king has had more responsibility put on his plate. His wife, Kate Middleton is beloved by the British people and will make an appropriate queen when the time comes.
While the shake-up from losing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has not quite settled the United Kingdom is about to lose another couple as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced they would be stepping back from their royal duties. E! reported that the couple will be taking some time off from Feb. 17 to Feb. 21 as next week was the beginning of Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s half-term break from school. Both royal children currently attend the Thomas’s Battersea school in London. Prince George had been attending the London school since 2017 and his sister Princess Charlotte joined him after attending Willcocks Nursery School.
Anglophiles were aware that the Prince and Duchess take a step back from their busy lives every year in order to be able to spend quality time with all three of their children. As of yet, the royal family has not shared their plans with the public, but many assume, they will take a break in one of their country homes.
The break comes at a very good time as the entirety of the royal family has had a busy start to the New Year with Prince Andrew’s scandal and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving to North American it was about time the Mountbatten-Windsor family had a vacation. Currently, Prince Harry is in talks to be interviewed as a part of Goldman Sachs “Talks at GS” interview series and just returned from a JP Morgan event that took place in South Beach where he was the keynote speaker. Royal followers hare just relieved to know that Prince William and Kate are not ignoring their duties and will soon be back to their continue their public duties.
