In most of the western world we define time as BC and AD (or BCE and CE if you want to take the religious factor out of it), but it seems fair to say that after the release of The Mandalorian we can adjust our calendars to BBY and ABY. Ironically this is how the Star Wars universe timeline is measured, an abbreviation for "before battle of Yavin" and "after battle of Yavin", but in our case we mean "before baby Yoda" and "after baby Yoda".
Baby Yoda is the fictional green goblin that was cute enough to conquer the world in a few short months, and as he conquered the world so did he begin to conquer the internet. The memes devoted to baby Yoda are seemingly never ending, and these are our favorite memes about baby Yoda reaching.
10 Power Outage
Being the baddest little dude in the entire galaxy is exhausting. Baby Yoda is a veritable little Energizer bunny battery just teeming with Force mojo, and while he is more than willing to expend his energy in order to protect his adopted dad from wounds or rogue rhinos, that energy usage takes a lot out of him.
Most normal babies spend half of their day sleeping anyway, so if it takes baby Yoda exhibiting feats of magic in order to get him on the level of a regular baby he's still way ahead of the game.
9 Desperate Times
It seems natural that human beings do this. They look at some of the most impressive and unimaginable powers that any being could possibly have, and then they imagine how they would use those powers in the most mundane and useless ways possible.
Having force powers to turn off your alarm clock would certainly come in handy, but there is an obvious downside to this, which is that anyone could just instantly disable their irritating alarm and go straight back to sleep.
8 Method Acting
Baby Yoda has at least had a lot more time to develop his child acting skills than the average human 7 year old, but does baby Yoda also go through these bizarre childhood bouts of thinking that they're Laurence Olivier reborn?
What's even more bizarre is that everyone in the world has a memory of a time where their acting job was good enough to fool the adults around them, but once you become a teen or adult it seems easy to see through these hilariously ham-handed ruses.
7 It Ain't Easy Being Green
As awesome as baby Yoda is, there seem to be some pretty glaring issues with the way he has to live his life. Of course there is the fact that everything in every Star Wars world appears to be far too large for him to feasibly function in, and there is also the fact that no one around him even knows his name.
But there is also the issue that his childhood lasts longer than most lifespans of other sentient beings, so he's stuck being traded off to different parents multiple times.
6 Desperate For Love
According to many scientists, cats often times understand what the people around them want, they just don't really care about it. However, anyone who has ever owned or even been near a cat could have probably told them this fact without having to waste all of the money on a scientific study.
That of course makes it even more meaningful when a cat actually does choose to do what you want it to do, but for the most part the constant rejection is progressively more devastating.
5 A Masterpiece
Anyone who believes that memes aren't art needs to take a look at this classical masterpiece. We can give credit where credit is due, Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam", just a small portion of his work on the Sistine Chapel, is undoubtedly a spectacular artwork in it's own right.
However, switching Adam and the lord for Pikachu and baby Yoda is a nearly divinely inspired artistic decision, and goes to show how important our new lord and savior baby Yoda truly is.
4 Childhood Trauma
Introducing a child to the concept of school is a tough one, since by the time their only caregiver is dumping them off at a strange building full of strange people their children have barely even developed object permanence.
But you've got to cut the cord sometime, and luckily tiny children are too slow and their legs are too short to catch up with you once you've initially abandoned them. And it might hurt their feelings now, but they'll barely remember it in a few years time anyway.
3 The Eternal Struggle
Optimizing use of space is something that is essential for any normal human living, but one does have to ask the question, why is it that the top shelves are almost universally impossible to reach for most people?
Yes, step stools are a thing, but there is something inherently confounding about the fact that storage spaces are designed to be difficult to use. And that is especially true for shelves in stores, because there will never be products in a store that regular people shouldn't have easy physical access to, right?
2 Desperate For Deliciousness
Now we don't advocate for physical violence in any circumstance, however both of the competitors for the final choccy milk in this scenario should be a little more aggressive if they want to come up a winner.
When it comes to acquiring that sweet elixir of life there is really no bridge too far, and if there is someone trying to beat you to the metaphorical punch then why not beat them with a physical one? Okay no, don't punch someone for chocolate milk, however keep in mind that if it's a legal move in roller derby then you could probably go for it.
1 A Universal Experience
How weird must it have been for baby Yoda to be that little kid trying to use the Force AND THEN ACTUALLY USING THE FORCE?!
I mean, we all live in a universe where the Force is just a widely known fictional phenomenon, and still every little kid attempts to manifest Force powers at some point. So imagine what it would be like to live in a world where Force powers are actually real, and to then discover that you in fact do have Force powers.
