The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is an incredibly unique series. Starring Rachel Bloom as Rebecca Bunch, the series follows her journeys throughout West Covina as she meets several interesting characters who end up impacting her life in ways she never expected.
Whether it be the happy-go-lucky Josh Chan or the king of the cynics himself, Greg Serrano, Rebecca finds herself falling in love more than once in the quirky musical-comedy series. With that being said, what are some of the most romantic moments throughout the series? Keep reading to find out.
10 JOSH RECREATES HIS SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE WITH REBECCA
Josh and Rebecca have been an unstable match for the entire series due to Rebecca's fervent obsession over him, a man she hardly knows. Rebecca has had her eye on Josh since the very first episode, and if it wasn't for the lovable character, the series would cease to exist.
Although their entire relationship is based on unhealthy behaviors, there was a brief moment in the final season of the series which was so romantic and well crafted that we almost found ourselves rooting for these two as a couple. Josh courted Rebecca by recreating their summer camp experience where they had first met. It was adorable, thoughtful, personal, and incredibly romantic.
9 WHITE JOSH KISSES DARRYL FOR THE FIRST TIME
One of the most stable and beloved relationships on the series was that between "White Josh" and Darryl. The two were an unlikely pair considering their opposite personalities. Where Darryl is warm and friendly, Josh is cool and independent.
Nothing would suggest at first that these two characters would wind up becoming one of the best couples on the show, but we are so glad that the writers made the decision to pair them up together because they make the perfect match. When they first kissed, sparks were flying and fans were ecstatic.
8 GREG ADMITS TO HIMSELF THAT HE'S IN LOVE WITH REBECCA
Greg was head over heels for Rebecca since the very beginning of the series, and although they often got into petty arguments with one another, they ultimately made for an incredible match. Greg and Rebecca's relationship felt authentic and natural, and the two of them could fully be themselves with each other.
In the finale of Season 1, Greg was too afraid to admit his feelings to Rebecca during the wedding they were attending together because he was afraid of losing her. Yet when he was at home later, he said out loud that he should've told Rebecca the truth: that he was crazy in love with her. It was incredibly sweet, considering Greg is not the type of person to express his feelings out loud.
7 NATHANIEL AND REBECCA BOND IN THE ELEVATOR
Nathaniel and Rebecca could never see eye to eye ever since he took over the Whitefeather & Associates Law Firm. Yet like any good old romantic comedy, their hatred for each other had evolved into lust, and both Nathaniel and Rebecca found themselves gaining a deep attraction towards one another despite their best efforts. This all started when the two got trapped in an elevator together and shared a kiss. They blamed the moment on the Santa Ana Winds, but we all know it was due to their insane chemistry. Plus, they bonded over their mutual love of Harry Potter, which we all know is the best way to connect to someone.
6 GREG TELLS REBECCA SHE'S THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE
During the final season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Josh, Greg, and Nathaniel compete against each other to see which of the three of them can win Rebecca's love. Rebecca agrees to go on a date with each man, and the date that she enjoys the most will determine which man is the best fit for her.
While Nathaniel and Josh go overboard with their romantic gestures, trying to wow Rebecca and sweep her off her feet, Greg decides the best thing to do in the end is to keep things relaxed and casual. After all, their whole relationship was pretty grounded and laid-back, so it makes sense. When Greg and Rebecca are sitting around on date night after their plans have blown up, he simply looks at her and tells her that she is the love of his life. It doesn't get much more romantic than that.
5 NATHANIEL TELLS REBECCA THAT SHE'S CHANGED HIM
Nathaniel started off as a total jerk when he was first introduced on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and he went through the biggest character evolution because of his relationship with Rebecca. In fact, Nathaniel turned into one of the sweetest and most giving characters on the show, something that caught nearly every fan by surprise. Nathaniel admits that Rebecca has changed him and made him into a much better person. What more could you really ask for?
4 GREG SINGS "SETTLE FOR ME"
Greg is absolutely crazy about Rebecca, and he is willing to give up his pride in order to get her time and attention. In the song "Settle For Me," although the musical number is designed to be comedic, there's also something oddly romantic about it because it shows how far Greg is willing to go to score a date with Rebecca Bunch.
3 GREG AND REBECCA'S TACO FESTIVAL DATE
Greg is proof that sometimes the best, most unforgettable dates are the ones that are less extravagant and more casual. Their date is relaxed and low-key, allowing the two to be silly together while engaging in witty banter. They really get the opportunity to know one another here, and they aren't trying too hard to impress each other. It is one of the best dates on TV because it isn't too over-the-top. Too bad it ends with Rebecca sabotaging the whole thing.
2 NATHANIEL SWEEPS REBECCA OFF HER FEET
On the other hand, Rebecca's first real date with Nathaniel is over-the-top because he takes her to a masquerade where they wear their finest attire. He designs this whole elaborate plan for date night, and it feels like something straight out of a romance novel. It almost feels too good to be true, and it is one of the most romantic moments on the show because Rebecca is finally being swept off her feet by Prince Charming, as she has always wanted to be.
1 GREG AND REBECCA GOOFING AROUND ON THE COUCH
As stated previously, sometimes the best dates are the ones that are the most casual. In fact, often the most romantic moments we experience in life aren't during date night at all. This seems to be the case for Rebecca and Greg when they goof around on the couch while watching TV and eating tacos. These types of hangouts can be more romantic than an extravagant night out because they're less contrived and there's not so much tension. In this moment, Rebecca and Greg are able to truly bond and be silly with one another. It's a subtle moment, but it's easily one of the most romantic scenes on the show.
