After the revealing Love is Blind reunion special, fans are divided about whether Jessica Batten deserves Amber Pike's forgiveness or not. However, one thing is for sure, Amber is still not willing to accept Jessica's apology. The new bride is still holding a grudge against her former pod roommate and fellow Love is Blind contestant after watching what actually went down behind her back while in Mexico and during her husband, Matt Barnett's birthday.
Netflix proposed a dating reality show of their own called Love is Blind to compete for fans' attention. The proposition of the show is for singles to try and find a significant other to fall in love with - the only catch is the singles must do this (and get engaged) without ever laying eyes on one another. The singles are released into pods to talk to one another in an attempt to forge a strong emotional bond. Viewers will observe as the couples try and form a poignant connection without the interruption of carnal attraction. The show became a runaway hit and fans are demanding more. Netflix veered from its usual layout and released each episode in chunks instead of the first season at once, which proved to be a revolutionary format that kept fans waiting for Thursdays to binge the released episodes.
As fans watched the reunion unfold, they saw an angry Amber before them. The newlywed wasted no time in turning around and berating Jessica for her poor behavior while starring on the show. The Love is Blind love triangle reeled in viewers as they watched Barnett play and lead on three of the women - LC, Jessica, and Amber. After viewing the footage, Amber laid into an obviously sheepish and remorseful Jessica, even after her apology. Amber continued on and called Jessica "fake" a "b*tch" and told her hoped she would grow from the experience and learned from her mistakes.
Jessica seemed embarrassed by her actions on the show and apologized for her poor choices, but it didn't seem to matter to Amber. The former Georgia Army Guard held a Q&A on her Instagram page and confirmed that even though the reunion was filmed weeks ago, the dust had still not settled between the two. She told fans that she would never be okay with Jessica, but that she had said her peace at the reunion. She even joked that she had waited just as long as fans had to have the chance to tell Jessica off.
As for Jessica, she does not seem to be upset about the lack of friendship with Amber. During the Love is Blind reunion, she tried her best to make amends for her lack of judgment and how she came across on the show. Fans were still annoyed with the reality star for the way she treated Mark, her ex-fiancé, as many thought her flirting with Barnett was disrespectful to him. However, as usual, Mark handled the encounter with grace and said he would always respect Jessica as a person as she taught him a lot of values. While Amber and Barnett are happily married and going strong, both Jessica and Mark are still single and trying to find love.
