Too Hot To Handle: Matthew Smith ACTUALLY Acted As Jesus In Movie After Netflix Show

Too Hot to Handle's sizzling cast is finding an abundance of opportunities since appearing on the show. After airing last Friday, Too Hot To Handle is trending on Twitter and making rounds across social media platforms. The show features 10 singles who enter its contest with relationship commitment issues. The contestants are tasked by AI device, Lana, with the psychological test of maintaining chastity amongst each other. The goal by the end of the show is to have the contestants build deeper more meaningful relationships.

To make matters interesting, not only are the show's contestants sex-starved but they are also extremely attractive. From the show's onset, most of the singles were able to immediately form romantic relationships amongst each other. But not all had it so easy. One such contestant is Matthew Smith.

Matthew was unable to find a compatible soul mate in his time on the series. This culminated in his eventual departure which came in sadness to most of the cast members. Matthew had built up a persona that stuck out within the group. With his long brown hair and shaggy beard, he embraced the title of Jesus. Moreover, this caricature may actually pay off for him. According to Metro:

"Naturally, after a full summer of being called Jesus, he was cast as Jesus in an actual film.  The model/actor/reality star played the Lord and Savior himself, in short movie The Commissioning, naturally because he looks exactly how paintings have made the Christian deity look over the past few hundred years. "

Having embraced the persona both physically and spiritually on the Netflix show, this might prove to be Matthew's calling.

Cast members often looked at Matthew as a wise big brother. One powerful moment from the series features a new cast member, Madison, who claims to want to connect with someone both intellectually and spiritually. This statement naturally piques Matthew's interest and he decides to pursue Madison. His endeavor ends however in the realization that there isn't much of an intellectual or spiritual connection to be had with Madison.

Aside from his disappointing performance on the show, it's worth noting that three other people (including Madison) left the series. Matthew was the only contestant who left with the cast members in protest. He was the only contestant to leave with a montage. And he was the only person to leave on their own accord. The self-dubbed "disciple of Lana" provided his peer's wisdom, maintained his chastity and was beloved by cast and audience members. While weighing down all of those facts, Matthew Smith might actually be Jesus.
