10 Storylines That Were Still Not Resolved In Clone Wars Season 7

After 6 years of waiting, Star Wars: Clone Wars season 7 is at last concluded, and it is everything fans could have hoped for. It is exceptionally difficult to tell a thrilling story whose ending is already confirmed -- and in this, Dave Filoni and the rest of the Clone Wars team surely succeeded.

And though the conclusion was fitting, not every character had a neatly resolved arc. Here are 10 storylines that are still unresolved after the conclusion of season 7.

10 Jar Jar Binks

Jar Jar Binks, possibly the single most hated character in the Star Wars universe, entirely vanished somewhere between Episodes 2 and 3 of the prequel trilogy.

The goofy Gungan appeared several times throughout Clone Wars, but his story was not concluded in the seventh and final season of the show -- fans will just have to wonder what became of the Bombad politician.

9 Mace Windu

One of the best things about the seventh season of Clone Wars is that it took place during the events of Revenge of the SithPart of this involves the death of Master Mace Windu, which Ahsoka witnessed through the Force.

And while it seems like that was a decisive end to the story of Master Windu, there have been numerous predictions by fans that Mace did, in fact, survive his fall off the tower. If this is somehow the case, the final season of Clone Wars did nothing to confirm it.

8 Gar Saxon

Gar Saxon played an instrumental role in the Siege of Mandalore. He served Darth Maul faithfully and led the Mandalorians against Bo-Katan and the Republic.

In the end, he is captured by Republic forces and presumably imprisoned, though we know from Rebels that he somehow returns to Mandalore, where he seizes power and serves the Empire. It is never explained exactly how he got into that position.

7 Bo-Katan Kryze

The ex-Death Watch Mandalorian who enlisted the service of Ahsoka Tano seems to end her tenure on Clone Wars by freeing Mandalore, and presumably taking a leadership role on the planet.

But the next time we see Mandalore, it is under the rule of Gar Saxon -- the Clone Wars might have freed Mandalore from Maul, but it left the planet in the aftermath of a civil war, on the brink of the chaos that Order 66 inspired. Bo-Katan's journey was certainly not tied up neatly.

6 The Bad Batch

This crew of genetically mutated clones brought victory to the Republic in the first several episodes of season 7. But they, like all clones, were likely implanted with the inhibitor chip.

Assuming this is the case, what happened to the Bad Batch after Order 66? Did they turn into servants for the Empire, or did their mutation enable them to overcome the urge to turn on their Jedi leaders?

5 Lux Bonteri

Lux Bonteri was featured in earlier seasons of Clone Wars as a way for Ahsoka to understand that there was, in fact, another side to the war. Their friendship grew throughout the seasons until Ahsoka stumbled upon him on Onderon, where he had transformed himself into a rebel freedom fighter.

He is not mentioned in the final season -- we never know if he went on to fight with Saw, or if he left Onderon, or if he ever saw Ahsoka again.

4 Captain Rex And Ahsoka Tano

These two are paired together because they ended the season together. They both show up independently on Rebels, and their ultimate reunion gave the impression that they were apart for quite some time.

That begs the question -- what happened after they survived the crash of the Republic cruiser? Did Rex and Ahsoka escape as fugitives of the Empire together, or did they go their separate ways?

3 Darth Maul

Darth Maul is, undoubtedly, one of the most fascinating characters to come from The Clone Wars. But his story has grown somewhat convoluted. The last time we saw Maul in TCW, he had been defeated by Sidious.

What exactly did Sidious do to him after this defeat? How did Maul wind up back in control of Mandalore, if not through the support of Darth Sidious? And where does Maul go from his escape from the Republic cruiser to wind up on the Sith planet where Ezra and Kanan find him in Rebels?

2 Commander Cody

While the best clones were the ones created for the show -- Rex or Fives -- Commander Cody was also a fan favorite. He was a good soldier and a loyal friend to the Jedi.

We know, from ROTS, that Cody acquiesced with Order 66, but where did he go from Utapau? Was he conscripted into Imperial service, or was he killed and replaced by stormtroopers? Does Cody's story end here?

1 Obi-Wan Kenobi

A master of both the Jedi arts and sarcastic comments, Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the best characters to come from the Star Wars universe. He is the perfect Jedi. But he was not the main focus of the seventh season. And though we know the general points of the story of his life, there is much that is left wide open.

For one, did he ever have contact with Ahsoka or Rex again? Did he stay on Tattooine with Luke until the events of A New Hope, or did his Jedi heart call him back into battle at some point along the line?
