5 Comedy Movies Gemini Will Love (& 5 They Will Hate)

Out of all the signs in the Zodiac, the Geminis are the hardest to read and understand. One the one hand they are energetic, emotional, always looking for the next thrill, but on the other hand, they can also get serious and closed off from the rest of the world.

When it comes to movies and the comedy genre, their approach is much of the same as their characteristics. They like a movie that's just as well made as funny, something that isn't solely a gut-busting funny movie. Let's look at some comedies Geminis will love and some the might choose to skip.

10 LOVE: Yes Man (2008)

This comedy features one of the greatest comedic actors of our time so you know its a good movie. Jim Carrey plays a banker who feels he is wasting his life away and his potential before his life is forever changed by a seminar in which he promises to say "Yes" to everything you are asked, even if its absurd or preposterous. Throughout the movie, he learns to stop being so uptight and live in the moment rather than always being scared to come out of your shell.

It has everything, an all-star cast including Jim Carrey, Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, and Christopher Masterson, it has a lot of laugh out loud moments with just as much romantic and heartbreaking moments. A perfect combo for a Gemini.

9 HATE: The Other Guys (2010)

The Other Guys got a lot of critical acclaim for its all-star cast and funny and random moments. Unfortunately, nothing about this movie would appeal to a Gemini for a number of reasons. For starters, the plot is somewhat predictable or at least overplayed when it comes to buddy cop movies. Although it does have some random humor and creative jokes, it wasn't the main focus and it sometimes distracted from the rest of the plot.

The fact it kills off Samuel L Jackson and The Rock in the first five minutes of the movie might also rub a Gemini the wrong way and persuade them away from the movie.

8 LOVE: Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004)

Sticking on the Jim Carrey train, we have another classic sci-fi comedy-drama about an estranged couple falling back in love after they both get an experimental surgery that erases the memories of a former partner. Although the movie isn't a straight comedy, it does have some funny moments and clever jokes that viewers loved and it doesn't rely solely on the comedy and star-power.

It has an amazing cast made up of Carrey, Kate Winslet, Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo, and even Elijah Wood. It combines a lot of cinematic elements to add to the story and it is very well a movie a Gemini would love.

7 HATE: Borat (2006)

If it's one thing Geminis don't like its forced humor. When the entire movie is based on based or targetted humor, it's bound to be on the bottom of Gemini's watch list as the comedy stays too consistent and the jokes get overplayed a lot.

Borat may have been revolutionary but the raunchy and uncalled for jokes will probably be something a Gemini would most likely skip.

6 LOVE: You've Got Mail (1998)

Before there were smartphones and facetime, and texting, people used emails to communicate and chat.  You've Got Mail is about two star crossed lovers who begin emailing and falling in love without knowing that they are technically business rivals and not exactly who they appear online

The mystery and anticipation of the two main characters as well as the well-drawn out plot cater to a Gemini's search for thrills and excitement.

5 HATE: You Don't Mess With The Zohan (2008)

Geminis aren't the only ones that would skip this movie...Receiving a 37% Rotten Tomato score, the movie fell short of a lot of expectations including being the beginning of the end for long time comedic actor Adam Sandler. The plot and character motivation are random (and not in a good way), the humor is forced, awkward, and overplayed and it's hard to keep track of the movie.

Zohan is an Israeli soldier who fakes his death in order to pursue his dream of being a hairdresser in New York, but it is all foiled when his arch-nemesis learns that he is still alive. Does that sound appealing to anyone?

4 LOVE: Step-Brothers (2008)

Starring the great comedy duo of Will Ferrel and John C Reilly, Stepbrothers follows two manchildren who are forced to get along when their parents get marries and move in together. Little did they know they would become best friends and eventually go on a whirlwind of random, yet hilarious adventures and even manage to crash a boat and beat up a gang of 10-year-old kids.

The chaotic random humor seen in the movie greatly appeals to a Gemini's sense of humor and the fact the two protagonists are able to act like 12-year-olds with a straight face makes it even more of a must-watch.

3 HATE: The Happytime Murders (2018)

Although it puts a completely new twist to cop movies, Happytime Murders is a movie a Gemini would most likely not like. It relies to heavily on raunchy and overplayed humor that tries too hard to make an audience laugh and takes away from the rest of the plot.

Featuring two comedic actors Melissa Mcarthy and Joel Mchale, it's a shame this movie did so badly in the box office and misused what could've been a great idea for a movie.

2 LOVE: Game Night (2018)

Starring the unlikely comedy duo of Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, Game Night is about a suburban couple who are tired of doing the same old thing every game night and decide to switch it up. What comes next is a whole bunch of random, hilarious, and action-packed moments.

The movie is a wild roller coaster ride, you never know what's going to happen next or who is the bad guy and who is the good guy. A perfect movie for a true Gemini.

1 HATE: Sausage Party (2016)

Geminis like random and spontaneous but when it makes up more than 80 percent of the movie, it just gets boring and confusing. It's a shame because some of the best comedic minds came together to make this movie and it fell very short of expectations.

What could've been funny was just a two-hour movie about sex jokes and innuendos.
