Curb Your Enthusiasm channels Larry David's unique sense of humor and many of the situations he finds himself in are inspired by his real-life experiences. The show has produced countless hilarious and memorable episodes over its ten seasons; with that in mind, here are the ten best episodes from season one to six according to IMDb.

10 Season 2 – Shaq (8.8)

It's been well documented that Larry David is a basketball fan. In one of season 2's funniest episodes, "Shaq," Larry is enjoying a basketball game when he mistakenly trips Shaq, the Lakers star player, leaving him injured. Larry then sees himself booed out of the stadium in disgrace.

To Larry's surprise, he then finds that everything starts going his way after the incident that left him disliked by Lakers fans. The episode provides some big laughs as Larry's anti-social behavior continues to frustrate all those around him.

9 Season 2 – Trick or Treat (8.9)

Season 2's Halloween themed episode "Trick or Treat" finds Larry in a predicament after he refuses to give candy out to a pair of trick or treaters who aren't wearing costumes. This then leads them to take revenge and pull a trick on him, in the form of covering his house in toilet paper and spraying graffiti over his car.

While it's easy to see Larry's perspective on the costume issue, it would have saved him a whole lot of trouble if he'd just handed over some candy and let everyone get on with their night. But where's the fun in that?

8 Season 4 – Opening Night (8.9)

The season 4 finale "Opening Night" is an extended episode that clocks in at almost an hour and provides some of the biggest laughs in the history of Curb. In the episode, Larry makes his Broadway debut in The Producers; in a surprising twist, it goes down well and he is a big hit.

However, first, Larry has to get to Broadway and along the way he manages to rub many of his co-stars the wrong way with his difficult behavior making the behind-the-scenes drama the real story.

7 Season 6 – The Therapists (9.0)

Larry and Cheryl's marriage went through some turbulence in season six after the former showed more concern for the TV than her during a bumpy flight. This saw Cheryl leave Larry, much to the latter's surprise. In "The Therapists," Larry schemes to win Cheryl back by becoming friendly with her therapist.

Steve Coogan guest stars as the titular therapist and turns in another hilarious performance. Larry's selfish actions came back to bite him in a big way during this season and it is difficult to blame Cheryl, as her husband is a lot to handle.

6 Season 3 – Krazee-Eyez Killa (9.0)

"Krazee-Eyez Killa" sees Larry get himself into a situation only a few people could manage. With the simple task of trying to find a replacement jacket, Larry manages to ruin a relationship and betray the trust of his newfound friend, Krazee-Eyez Killa.

After Krazee lends Larry a jacket for a role in a movie, he reveals to Larry that he has been seeing other women behind his fiance's back; naturally, she then finds out, ruining their friendship. While Larry certainly put his foot in it, this marriage was not probably meant to last.

5 Season 4 – The Car Pool Lane (9.1)

"The Car Pool Lane" is season 3's strongest episode and one of the funniest in the history of Curb. The episode sees Larry with a single goal of getting to the Dodger's game taking place that day.

However, things aren't going to be easy for Larry as he has several tedious tasks he must complete first, making his chances of getting there on time impossible. In a hilarious twist, the finale sees Larry hire a prostitute so he can use the speedy carpool and make it to the game on time.

4 Season 3 – The Grand Opening (9.1)

Season 3's "The Grand Opening" is without a doubt one of the most hilarious episodes of Curb. With their restaurant set to open soon, Larry manages to make everyone's life as difficult as possible, starting with him firing the head chef because he lied about being bald when he was hired.

In a mad scramble to find a replacement, Larry has to settle for a chef with Tourette's Syndrome. Unsurprisingly, the grand opening of the restaurant is a hilarious farce, as so often ends up being the case in Larry's life.

3 Season 6 – The Bat Mitzvah (9.1)

In the season 6 finale "The Bat Mitzvah," Larry finds himself subjected to a horrible rumor when he offends the wrong person and they spread misinformation about him and a gerbil.

With his reputation taking a hit, Larry uses Sammy's bat mitzvah to clear up the allegation, as well as attempt to patch things up with Cheryl. As he so often does, Larry only makes the situation worse.

2 Season 5 – The Ski Lift (9.2)

As tends to be the case, Larry begins this episode with noble intentions only to find himself making a mess of things through his difficult behavior. In "The Ski Lift," Larry befriends the head of a kidney consortium in an attempt to get his friend a kidney.

Larry takes him out to the ski lodge and tries his best to show the guy a good time, only for things to go horribly wrong. Despite his best efforts, the episode ends in disaster and ruins Richard's chances of getting to the top of the waiting list.

1 Season 2 – The Doll (9.4)

The funniest episode from Curb's first six seasons, season 2's "The Doll" begins with one of Larry's greatest successes as he pitches an idea for a show to ABC. Things go off without a hitch but then Larry disturbs a little girl by cutting off the head from her doll.

She just so happens to be the executive's daughter, causing Larry a lot of trouble. Things only get worse from there as Larry attempts to replace the head, with hilarious and disturbing results.
