The Order Season 3: Release Date & Story Details | Screen Rant

Will Netflix move forward with The Order season 3? The werewolves-themed series became a breakout hit after The Order season 1 released in March 2019. Over a year later, Netflix unveiled The Order season 2 with 10 new episodes. Because of the mid-June release date, a third installment probably won't be announced, if greenlit, until July 2020.

After having their memories blocked in The Order season 1, the Knights of Saint Christopher have some odd experiences at the beginning of The Order season 2. Led by Jack Morton (Jake Manley), the repressed werewolves finally connect the dots about their relationship with "The Order," and find themselves torn between Vera Stone (Katharine Isabelle) - the leader of the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose - and Alyssa Drake (Sarah Grey), a student who believes that all people should have the ability to explore magic. Unfortunately for Alyssa, her practices are tainted due to her romantic feelings for Jack; a concept that drives the penultimate episode of The Order season 2 on Netflix.

Everyone at Belgrave University feels the scorn of Alyssa in The Order season 2 finale, as she's intent on reciting incantations without sacrifices. Incidentally, she causes atmospheric eruptions that could lead to the apocalypse. But if Alyssa chooses to work with Vera and not against her, then it's possible to prevent the rise of underworld demons. Here's everything we expect for The Order season 3 on Netflix.

At this point, it seems likely that another 15 months will pass between The Order season 2 and The Order season 3. Netflix typically maintains a one-season-per-year model for full-length drama series, but the COVID-19 crisis will undoubtedly affect scheduling moving forward. Still, Netflix will want to release new episodes sooner or later to capitalize on the positive buzz, so expect The Order season 3 to release sometime between September and December 2021.

The Order season 2 on Netflix ends with a major cliffhanger. Jack convinces Alyssa to meet up with Vera, and she then gains access to the Fors Factorum incantation that will allow her to seal the eruptions. At first, the fusion of knowledge and power appears to save the day - and Lilith Bathory (Devery Jacobs) even returns from a trans-dimensional hellscape - but werewolf Gabrielle Dupres (Louriza Tronco) viciously attacks Alyssa under the control of Midnight, one of the Hides of The Knights of Saint Christopher.

In The Order season 3, Jack will presumably restore some type of order via the magical Vade Maecum Infernal. Expect Alyssa to overcome her injuries, albeit with the knowledge that her powers will ultimately be cancerous. As for Vera, she'll naturally want to re-gain her magic, but now she'll be forced to make a few compromises. Meanwhile, Lilith isn't too pleased that she was taken away from her fellow demons, which will seemingly lead to some action-packed sequences involving the supporting characters. Lastly, Jack may need to spend some quality time in the collective unconscious realm during The Order season 3 on Netflix.
