90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans are wondering why Ariela's mother was appalled by her daughter’s living conditions. Ariela is trying her best to convince her mother it is safe to stay in Ethiopia.
Fans watched while Ariela Danielle panicked when she finally arrived in the developing nation. The shock to her system was too much for Ariela to handle even with her mother by her side. The couple met while the American was vacationing in Biniyam Shibre’s home country and soon found out they were expecting. Ariela hails from Princeton, New Jersey, and is the perfect example of a young woman full of adventure. Fans were introduced to her close family and were surprised that she thought it was a good idea to venture to Ethiopia to have her baby, especially since there was no chance of her obtaining an epidural.
Monday’s all-new episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way showed fans a compassionate side to Biniyam. He was working hard at trying to get their home ready for the couple’s baby. Ariela’s mother, who is a nurse, joined the couple the next morning and was slightly less than horrified at what she saw. Upon her taxi ride to the home, she noted how poor the area was and worried about her daughter’s safety. Once she laid eyes on the house, she was almost physically ill.
The Ethiopian gave his future mother-in-law a tour to try and calm her nerves, but it did not help. Every room in the house had a safety hazard. The nursery had loose wiring that hung from the wall. The bathroom was grimy and the nurse worried that it was not sanitary for her daughter. The nail in the coffin was the sitting water bottle that Biniyam explained is refilled every two to three days. When asked how they are cleaned he advised with leaves. Ariela’s mother was horrified that there was no soap used since sitting water can attract all kinds of insects, especially mosquitoes. Binyam tried to explain that he had another home that he was renovating but that house was literally under construction and looked worse than the apartment.
Viewers did not feel that the nurse was wrong. The living space was really no place for a pregnant woman. Hopefully, Ariela wises up and makes the decision to go back to the United States before it is too late.
