Star Wars is starting to populate Disney+ thanks to multiple original series and the Skywalker trilogy all appearing on the streaming service. There's plenty of universe out there to explore and the platform is already setting up future shows from Lucasfilm.
There's a number of characters that are sure to show up in future installments. Some, like Obi-Wan Kenobi, have deserved their own spin-off series for some time. However, there's also a number of characters from across the galaxy far far away that are completely underrated and deserve a little more time to shine, especially on a platform like Disney+.
10 Asajj Ventress
Asajj Ventress served Count Dooku during the Clone Wars, before becoming a mercenary and going out on her own. She's been the subject of countless animated episodes and even a book, Dark Disciple, where she met her demise.
The character has intrigued fans for some time. It would be good to finally see her in live action, perhaps in the period of time before her death but after she had started life by herself, without a master. The Night Sisters especially are an interesting topic to explore.
9 Wedge Antilles
Wedge Antilles has to be one of the best pilots in the galaxy, in charge of many of the best ships that have existed in the franchise. He's an integral part of the Rebel Alliance and a great leader.
He's taught future pilots like Temmin Wexley and has helped the Rebels succeed in many of their missions, before serving the New Republic after the Empire had fallen. He's a character that would make for a very different lead in an ongoing series.
8 Sidon Ithano
Asides from being one of the coolest looking characters in the franchise, Sidon Ithano actually has quite an interesting backstory that has been told throughout the expanded universe.
He's actually a space pirate, being known as one of the best in the region. The character was a stern but strong leader, who went on a number of adventures perfect to feature in a smaller budget Star Wars series.
7 Zorri Bliss
Zorri Bliss has only been briefly featured in the Skywalker saga, mainly as a fierce warrior from Poe's past. But there's a lot more to explore about this lethal warrior.
Asides from a genuinely interesting look, the character has a complicated history within the Star Wars universe and an even more complex set of moral boundaries. Much like the Mandalorian, she could be a character that operates within the grey areas of the galaxy.
6 Mon Mothma
Mon Mothma has been the subject of a lot of different political books and has been featured throughout the films. She's the leader of an emerging Republic and an interesting figure in the galaxy's history.
Although her tales can normally seem a bit dull, there's a way to write the character that makes her become part of a political thriller, that involves her sarcastic wit but her strong values throughout.
5 Qui-Gon Jinn
Qui-Gon Jinn is one of the most popular characters in Star Wars history while simultaneously being one of the most underrated thanks to the fact that he has only appeared in one film!
It's about time he got his due and finally appeared in his own spin-off series that explores his life before he ever met Kenobi and as he was trying to find his way as a Jedi master.
4 Jannah
Jannah is another character that has barely been featured on screen but has already raised a lot of questions about her backstory, her abilities and her future.
She's clearly incredibly talented and might even have ties to Lando. The character also may have a future with Finn and there's just so much more to discover about the powerful Jannah that Disney could really benefit from a series featuring the new character.
3 Greedo
Greedo is a character that has been built up in the lore simply because he was shot by Han Solo. The bounty hunter has been featured repeatedly in various other mediums.
But, it would be so fascinating to get a mini series about Greedo's life leading up to his final death. Viewers would know how the story ends, which means there's a lot of tension built into this series.
2 Enfys Nest
Enfys Nest demonstrated that even the spin-off films could contain big twists as she was revealed to be leading an underground resistance and was not the vicious bounty hunter she was believed to be.
It's a character that Lucasfilm should have more faith in and could be a really influential figure in the Star Wars galaxy. There's a lot of ground to cover about her future and where she finds herself in the universe after meeting Han Solo.
1 Paige Tico
Paige Tico is the sister to Rose, who has been a major character in two of the three films from the sequel trilogy. The character died destroying a Dreadnought, showing her heroic nature.
She was clearly a very talented member of the Resistance, so much so that perhaps she'd be a really unique character to explore further. If she doesn't get her own show, at the very least she deserves to be a supporting character for her bravery and intelligence.
