The Old Guard Soundtrack: Every Song In Netflix's Movie

Now streaming on Netflix, The Old Guard features a soundtrack full of moody battle music. There's isn't one definite mainstream anthem, but rather a collection of atmospheric electro compositions. To the film's benefit, the music doesn't override the most thrilling sequences.

Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, The Old Guard revolves around a team of ancient warriors with supernatural abilities. They've been involved in numerous historical events over the course of 1,000 years, if not more, and are led by Andromache of Scythia a.k.a. Andy (Charlize Theron). After 200 years of working independently, The Old Guard realizes that a U.S. Marine, Nile Freeman (KiKi Layne), has been resurrected after being killed in action. The crew takes off to assist the soldier, and then immerses her into a brave new world. The Old Guard co-stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, and Luca Marinelli. The film is based on the graphic novel by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández.

The Old Guard's score was composed by Hauschka (Volker Bertelmann) and Dustin O'Halloran. Overall, the main soundtrack doesn't pop like other action films, but rather feels more organic and smooth, much like how the main characters operate. Here's every featured song in The Old Guard.

"Born Alone, Die Alone" - Madalen Duke

"Keep This Between Us" - Krtas Nssa

"Godspeed" - Frank Ocean

"Put You On" - Kierra Love

"Say Your Prayers" - Blithe

"Nobody Know" - Chaii

"The World We've Made" - Ruelle

"Silence" - Marshmello feat. Khalid

"Going Down Fighting" - Andrea Wasse x Phlotilla

"Cruel World" - Active Child

"Baby Outlaw" - Elle King

The Old Guard kicks off with "Born Alone, Die Alone" as Andy's voiceover narration reveals that she's "sick" of dying over and over again. When Andromache of Scythia and her pal Booker meet up with a former CIA agent named Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor), "Keep This Between Us" establishes an international vibe, and complements the discussion details. When Andy first spots Nile, the young U.S. Marine listens to "Godspeed" while trying to process a bizarre sequence of events.

"Put You On" plays when Andy drives away with Nile, and "Nobody Know" scores a fight sequence. Soon after, "The World We've Made" accompanies a vicious battle scene featuring Andy. Once Nile infiltrates the headquarters of baddie Merrick (Harry Melling), "Going Down Fighting" implies a bittersweet final act.

After Nile's nasty fall, "Silence" is heard as Andy assesses the scene. Later, "Cruel World" plays as Booker learns that there will be consequences for his questionable actions. The Old Guard concludes with a big reveal and "Baby Outlaw."
