Why Did The Bachelor Decide to Re-Air Sean Lowe's Season Again?

Tonight on The Bachelor: GOAT, the lovable Sean Lowe is having his Bachelor season aired...again... This may trigger a bit of déjà vu among Bachelor fans...and it may actually be a good sign in terms of the franchise's production.

When Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette was postponed earlier this summer, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, ABC decided to fill the void by re-airing some of the best seasons from the franchise. Their production team enlisted the iconic host, Chris Harrison, to sit with fans almost every Monday and relive some of the most shocking, drama-filled Bachelor/Bachelorette seasons. While it’s no rose ceremony, it does give Bachelor fans something to look forward to during the week. However, tonight’s episode is a bit different. It’s actually going to be a rerun of the first episode fans saw this summer... Sean Lowe’s season. So, yes, that means Bachelor Nation can tune in to see the season for the third time. The re-airing of this episode could be a hint that fans may be seeing a NEW season of the franchise soon. Here's why...

Chris Harrison is no longer at his at-home setup for The Bachelor: GOAT. While we’ve been witnessing the adorable father-son banter of Chris Harrison and his son, Joshua during the quarantined summer spin-off series, it looks like the busy host is officially back at work. He is likely at a resort in California, filming The Bachelorette. Just a few weeks ago, news broke that Clare Crawley’s season would begin filming with a (somewhat) new cast. Fans can stalk the long list of male Bachelorette contestants, who will film at a totally new venue. We weren’t given an exact timeframe of when production would begin or when the new season would air, but due to tonight's episode being a rerun (and a recent Instagram post), we think Harrison and the rest of the franchise's hard-working crew are indeed filming. They are working on Clare Crawley’s season (insert party emoji here). That part emoji makes so much sense because Chris Harrison's birthday was just yesterday...check out the b-day post from his GF, Lauren Zima, below:

Harrison’s girlfriend (and ET reporter) Lauren Zima wished The Bachelor host a very happy birthday on Instagram. In the caption, she confirms that Harrison is not at home and is instead working on what we think is Crawley’s season. She writes, You’re off working on some incredible television show right now (I can’t remember the name,) so we’re not together, but we hadn’t been apart for about four months, and I’ve never done that with anyone in my life.”

Because we know nobody (not even the incredible Chris Harrison) can be at two places at once, it sounds like Crawley’s season is in the midst of production. We will keep stalking their Instagrams for more information on the upcoming season. For now, let’s all celebrate the happy news that we may be seeing Crawley find her perfect match on The Bachelorette in the near future. Be sure to tune into The Bachelor: GOAT for your Bachelor Nation fix.
