Full House: Every Main Character, Ranked By Likability

Although the canned laughter and cheesy dialogue can sometimes be frustrating, TV fans still feel nostalgic about Full House. The premise of Danny Tanner helping his girls through the tough times of growing up will never get old, as people can always relate to the trials of school, friends, and family.

The characters on Full House are generally in good moods as this is a family-friendly sitcom that features cute kids and the adults who raise them. But even so, some of the Tanners and their friends are easier to like than others. While some characters have won over Full House fans, others haven't quite stolen the hearts of viewers.

9 Kimmy Gibbler

The problem with Andrea Barber's Full House character Kimmy Gibbler is that she's meant to be annoying. The Tanners don't enjoy her company and even DJ, who is supposed to be her best friend in the world, gets frustrated with her.

Since viewers are introduced to Kimmy in kind of a negative way, it feels impossible to like her or even think that she has a place on the show. She's not very funny and just makes weird and awkward comments, and the Tanners could stand to be a little nicer to her.

8 Steve Hale

Steve and DJ have one of the love stories on Full House that fans can't stop talking about. There's something sweet about watching DJ fall for Steve (Scott Weinger), and it's clear that they really care about one another.

The problem with Steve is that he's kind of dull. He's someone who would be described as "nice enough." He and DJ never seem to have a lot to talk about, either.

7 Aunt Becky

Played by Lori Loughlin, Aunt Becky might not be perfect by 2020 standards, and she's kind of in the middle when it comes to how likable she is.

On the one hand, it's very sweet that Becky and Jesse fall in love and start raising twins together. On the other hand, Becky has a lot of cheesy lines on the sitcom, and she doesn't always seem to have an interesting personality.

6 Danny Tanner

Bob Saget's character Danny Tanner may be at the heart of the show, as he's left to raise his three daughters without his wife, who passed away.

But not everyone loves Danny. Sometimes he can be pretty annoying, as all he seems to care about is cleaning, and when he goes on a rant about the best ways to keep the house neat, it can be grating. Danny also makes a lot of "dad jokes."

5 Michelle Tanner

The beloved Olsen twins both played Michelle Tanner, and she couldn't be a cuter child. Between her catchphrase "You got it dude!" and the fact that she knows that she's adorable, fans can't help but smile when she's onscreen.

Michelle is a great character as she has all of the fun and innocence that a kid should have, but she also displays quite a range of emotions. She's open about her feelings and this makes her one of the most likable characters.

4 Uncle Joey

Some Full House jokes seem awkward today, and there are a lot of comments that Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) makes that are on the corny side.

But Joey is still a fairly likable character. He makes some big sacrifices to live in the Tanner house and help Danny raise his kids, for one thing, and since he's always making jokes and trying to make the best of things, he's a happy, positive person to have around.

3 DJ Tanner

Candace Cameron Bure's Full House character, DJ Tanner, is also easy to like. Even when she's complaining about her dad's rules or trying to push her luck when staying out with her boyfriend Steve, fans can sympathize that she's a young woman just trying to grow up.

Sure, sometimes DJ makes some silly decisions, but that's the whole point of growing up. And since Full House is a show about lessons learned, her character always seems perfectly logical.

2 Stephanie Tanner

Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) is one of the most beloved Full House characters. She has a sense of humor that is all her own, and fans love the catchphrase "How rude!"

Stephanie has a special bond with Uncle Jesse, and it's really nice to see how much she loves and relies on him as she gets older. Stephanie wants to rebel a bit more than DJ does, as she has some friends who aren't good influences, but she's always good-natured and intelligent.

1 Uncle Jesse

Everyone loves the handsome Uncle Jesse and it's no wonder that John Stamos became so well-known for playing this part.

There's a charming quality to Jesse, who loves hanging out with Danny's daughters so much that it makes him want to become a family man himself. It's sweet to see his journey as at the beginning of the sitcom, he's a musician and just wants to date as many women as he can, but then he evolves a lot.
