John Krasinski has built his film and television career after starring as the hilarious Jim Halpert in The Office for eight years. He's probably still most known for his role in The Office, but he has successfully moved on from that role as well.
Krasinski has moved on to new types of roles outside of the comedic area and has also turned to writing and directing, specifically in A Quiet Place that's in the post-apocalyptic horror genre that Krasinski helped write, directed, and starred in. Although Krasinski will always be Jim Halpert, he continues to star and appear in popular shows and films and shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon.

The Holiday stars Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black, and Jude Law in a holiday rom-com. Winslet and Diaz need to change-up their normal routine as Winslet needs to get away from work and one particular co-worker and Diaz has a split with her long-term partner.
The two aren't looking for romance, but they both adorably find it anyway when they decide to house swap and meet men on their vacations. Krasinski has a small role as Diaz's co-worker in editing movie trailers.
8 Away We Go (2009) - 7.0
John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph star in this romantic independent film as partners who are expecting their first child. The two decide to run away from their responsibilities under the guise of searching for the perfect place to live and raise their child.
The couple travels across the U.S. experiencing random adventures and reconnecting with friends and family. The film has a good balance between drama and comedy and Krasinski and Rudolph make a good pair.
7 Jarhead (2005) - 7.0
Jarhead follows Marines serving during the Gulf War in the 1980s. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as one of the Marines who mostly wait to see action at their base.
The soldiers try to stay sane as each day is uncertain of whether or not they will be attacked or have to leave the base and their home lives are not under their control either as they have limited contact with their loved ones. John Krasinski has a very small role in the film.
6 Detroit (2017) - 7.3
Detroit is based on true events of the 1967 Detroit Michigan civil unrest that led to riots across the city. The film focuses on a few days after the riots when the police get a call reporting gunshots in the area and send in multiple forces to respond to the call.
The police viciously interrogate everyone in the area to get a confession and the night ends with three men being killed and several others being brutally beaten. John Krasinski has a small role as an attorney.
5 Monsters University (2013) - 7.3
John Krasinski has a small role in the prequel Monsters University that sees the main characters Mike and Sully meet in college studying to be Scarers. The beginning of the film sees a very young Mike visiting the Scare Floor for the first time and sneaking into a child's room.
Krasinski voices a professional Scarer who encourages Mike to become a Scarer himself. Although it's a small role, it's an important role within the plot as Mike figures out what he wants to be when he grows up.
4 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) - 7.3
13 Hours is based on true events of a group of former soldiers providing security nearby try to save American lives after an attack on a U.S. compound in Libya.
The soldiers are told that it is not their mission, but the men disobey orders and help however they can. John Krasinski stars as Jack Silva, the newest member of the security team.
3 A Quiet Place (2018) - 7.5
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski star in A Quiet Place as a couple trying to protect their two children and a new baby on the way in a post-apocalyptic world. The family survives in a world after creatures have invaded and attack anything that makes a noise.
Krasinski co-wrote, directed, and starred in this film and it was well-received overall for its creativity, story, and emotional family center.
2 Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (2018- ) - 8.1
Amazon's new Jack Ryan series follows the titular character (portrayed by John Krasinski) on his first field mission to thwart various global terrorist plots after being a brilliant office CIA analyst.
The character has appeared in several films based on Tom Clancy's books, but this is the first television series that has overall positive reviews about its first two seasons so far.

John Krasinski portrayed Jim Halpert for nine seasons on the extremely popular show as one of the main characters in every season it aired.
His main storyline mostly consisted of trying to have a fun time at work, pranking his co-worker Dwight, and beginning a romantic relationship with a co-worker and receptionist Pam. Jim is a romantic at his core and truly cares about those around him especially Pam.
