Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown shares her spooky Halloween costume idea. Stranger Things premiered on Netflix in 2016 and became an instant smash hit. The show has quickly expanded in scope with each season; while season 1 centered around Will Byers' (Noah Schnapp) disappearance, season 3 featured a government conspiracy plot, Russian secret bases, and a Terminator-esque hitman.
Brown has been one of Stranger Things' biggest breakout stars. She plays Jane Hopper, aka Eleven, a girl that possesses both telepathic and psychokinetic powers. She manages to escape Hawkins Laboratory in season 1, where she becomes friends with Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin). She's adopted by Jim Hopper (David Harbour) at the end of season 2. Brown has been praised for capturing Eleven's character development throughout the past few seasons, as she transforms from a terrified girl to a courageous hero.
Brown has taken to the Stranger Things Twitter account to share a cute Halloween costume idea. In the video, Brown holds a white sheet, before placing it over her head. The video then cuts back and forth between Brown and her character of Eleven. Both are dressed in a ghost costume and say, "Ghost. Ghost. Halloween. Halloween," one after another. You can catch Brown's heartwarming Halloween-themed video below:
Brown seems to have been inspired by Eleven's look in season 2, episode 2 of Stranger Things. In the episode, Eleven wants to go trick-or-treating and decides that a ghost costume is a perfect way to remain incognito. She dons a white sheet and greets Hopper in her costume, only for him to soundly reject the idea. While this scene has always been a particularly heartbreaking moment, Eleven's disappointment is especially relatable this year. With COVID-19 cases on the rise, the CDC has recommended against trick-or-treating. Still, while collecting candy may be out of the question, this is the perfect opportunity to hunker down and binge-watch past episodes of Stranger Things.
Season 4 of Stranger Things is currently in the works, and there's a lot in store for the beloved Netflix series. For one, set photos have revealed that Levon Thurman-Hawke will join Stranger Things, although it's currently unclear what character he will play. Either way, it seems that fans have a ton to look forward to in season 4. In the meantime, though, it's time to break out the trusty ghost sheet, lay out an elaborate candy spread, and enjoy a safe (but spooky!) Halloween.
