The new Netflix TV series Holiday Home Makeover with Mr. Christmas is about Benjamin Bradley and his team of "elves," who help people to transform their homes for the holidays.
Benjamin Bradley is the host of the show and goes by the name, Mr. Christmas. Early on in the show, fans learn that Benjamin is a Christmas enthusiast. Not only did he name his dog Ebenezer, but he turns his apartment into a Christmas spectacle every holiday season. Besides his love for Christmas and its decorations, Benjamin Bradley loves giving back.
According to House Beautiful, Benjamin grew up in Boonville, Indiana, and earned his Bachelor's degree from Purdue University. He then headed to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York for an Associate's degree. He now lives in New York City, in a six-bedroom apartment that he shares with his partner, Bruce Wayne. His partner is a celebrity makeup artist. Through his years of schooling, Benjamin was able to become a successful interior designer. He started his own design firm E & Co. Home more than 27 years ago and operates it out of his apartment. While the reality star may love Christmas, during the year, he mostly designs traditional, mid-century modern spaces. See him in action below:
Benjamin's love for Christmas is very evident from his Mr. Christmas Holiday Home Makeover Instagram page. Since August, the interior designer has been posting Christmas photos and teasing fans with tidbits about his show. His love for Christmas began when his mother gave him an Econolite motion lamp for Christmas one year. The lamp was decorated with Santa and his sleigh, and he later learned that it was very valuable. This jump-started his Christmas obsession. He began growing his holiday-themed collection. Benjamin even loved flipping through the 1994 book, "Christmas Collectibles" by Margaret and Kenn Whitmyer. This book made his obsession stronger. He would spend hours looking through this book, and that is something that he still does to this day. However, this is not exactly how Benjamin Bradley got the nickname, "Mr. Christmas." He got the name due to his large collection of antique Christmas valuables. Back in 2018, he spoke with the New York Times about his collection and revealed that it contained over 3,000 individual pieces of holiday decor, including more than 40 Santas. That's a lot of holiday decor, especially for a New York apartment.
