Multiple viewers think Whitney Way Thore from My Big Fat Fabulous Life really should have moved to Wilmington to try and make her relationship work with Chase Severino, and they definitely have a point.
The reality star thought she had met her match, but it turned out she may have been mistaken. Fans felt that Whitney was moving forward in her life, despite the age difference with Chase Severino. Chase quickly dropped down on one knee while on a trip to Paris, even though they had argued over the possibility of having children, which would be a deal-breaker for most. Fans recently learned that the My Big Fat Fabulous Life couple had not been able to live together thanks to the worldwide pandemic and started to lose interest in one another.
On the most recent episode, fans got to see Whitney drive the 5-hour car ride to Wilmington, North Carolina where Chase currently owned his own home. Upon arrival, she found a cute card that asked her to move in with him. Instead of being happy, she turned to the cameras in disappointment, noting he was not following the plan to move to Charlotte.
TLC viewers did not fully understand the problem, since it was a grand gesture that showed Whitney he was committing. Chase also had recently opened up his own bar near the college and was needed there to make it successful. Instead, Whitney listed all the reasons why she would not want to go which included being farther away from her family and friends. She also mentioned her business with Ryan, but to be honest, since it was an online job it could have been moved rather easily and started up again on the shores of the ocean. She was in a prime position to be able to uproot her life and business once again, since she is the boss of her company. Many pointed out that it would have been extremely difficult for Chase to keep his new business afloat if he had just left it behind, as many know bars and restaurants are one of the hardest industries to do well in.
However, it is too late, since Chase has moved on with not only a new woman but a new baby, which he had always told Whitney he was not ready for. Fans were crushed by the breakup but wondered if the whole proposal was just scripted by TLC producers, since at times the relationship felt forced. For now, Whitney is back in Charlotte with her cats and dog with no plans on moving.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life airs Thursday at 9 pm EST on TLC.
