The Office: 10 Times Jim Said Everything We Were Thinking

Jim Halpert is one of the most level-headed and logical characters on The Office. His talking heads and conversations with Pam prove that he's one of the more "normal" guys at Dunder Mifflin and that he acts as the viewer. He is equally as shocked and disturbed by Michael and Dwight's antics but doesn't shy away from poking fun at the situation.

As fans know, Jim's reactions are honest but that doesn't mean he's the same way. He keeps a lot of things inside (his feelings for Pam, moving to Philadephia, buying his parents' house, etc...) until the cat's out of the bag. Putting his fear of getting turned down aside, Jim has said plenty of things that viewers were thinking during many crazy days at Dunder Mifflin.

10 Are The Worms Friends, Michael?

Michael says plenty of classic sayings but always finds a way to butcher the delivery. While talking to the office, Michael said "Early worm gets the worm" instead of "Early bird gets the worm." Instead of letting the slip-up slide, Jim rolls with Michael's version of the saying and asks if the worms were friends. Jim does the same thing when Dwight says outlandish things. It's part of what makes Jim so special; he puts the other characters in an uncomfortable spot for the sake of a laugh.

9 Dunder Mifflin: The Spirit Of Christmas

When it comes to birthdays or the holiday season, Michael loves going all out. He created a party planning committee for this exact reason. He even foots the bill for most of the parties when corporate turns down funding yet another shindig. However, when Michael's parties don't go his way, he can act childish.

In one scene, Michael gathered everyone in the conference room and told them that Christma isn't about Santa or Jesus; it's about the workplace. While everyone tends to roll their eyes at Michael and ignore his comments, Jim always speaks out and puts Michael back in his place.

8 Nothing Gets Past Jim

Most people would see Michael eating ice cream alone in the kitchen and not think twice about it. People like Angela and Oscar would probably ignore him because it's another classic Michael move that he does when he's upset. But Jim? Jim feels the need to bring it up to Michael. He asks the questions viewers are thinking. In this case, Michael wasn't actually eating ice cream, he was eating mayonnaise with black olives because the office was out of ice cream... The disgusted look on Jim's face mirrored the viewers'.

7 Come On, Pam!

Fans of the show were relieved when Jim finally told Pam how he felt about her. He held back his love for her because of her relationship with Roy but it was evident she shared the same feelings Jim did. She let her fear and pride get in the way of true happiness.

However, when Jim told Pam that he loved her, she told him she "couldn't." Jim was her best friend. Jim told her not to discredit the vibe they shared and that he wanted more but she told him that she was going through with her marriage to Roy. Regardless of her decision at that moment, viewers were proud of Jim for finally saying something.

6 CeCe, PeePee, Peepa, Same Thing

Dwight and Jim worked together long enough where Dwight should know the name of Jim's daughter — especially since Pam is also his co-worker and the office is a small space. But lo and behold, Dwight proves that he doesn't care about Jim's personal life in the slightest.

In one scene, Dwight was hoping for another chance at being a regional manager. And with Jim in charge of the committee, Dwight knew he had to suck up in order to be considered. He tried making small talk with Jim and asked how his daughter, PeePee, was doing. To mess with Dwight, Jim reminded him that his daughter's name was Peepa (even though it was really CeCe). Viewers love when Jim messes with Dwight.

5 New Year's Eve Is A Young Man's Game

When Robert California throws one last party at his mega-mansion, Jim does everything he can to make his appearance brief. Pam and the baby were at home and he didn't feel like spending his Friday night with his co-workers. He tells the cameras that he's stealthy when it comes to leaving parties early and was home before midnight on New Year's Eve, Funny enough, many viewers can relate to Jim's goal desire to go home. Staying out late and drinking a bottle of wine (cough, cough, Toby and Oscar) isn't for everyone.

4 "Absolutely I Do"

Whenever Dwight asks Jim to join him in an undercover work adventure, Jim always says "Absolutely I do." It's not often he turns Dwight down. By joining Dwight on his venture, Jim gets to ignore work for a short time and poke fun at the workings of Dwight's mind.

The Office fans love when Dwight and Jim team up for office shenanigans and practically scream "Absolutely I do" whenever the opportunity arises. Even Pam jumped on the bandwagon!

3 Jim Stating The Obvious

Even at Dwight and Angela's lowest points, they've always loved and respected each other. Fans obsess over Pam and Jim's relationship but Dwight and Angela were equally as serious. Sure, they broke up a few times, had affairs, and killed a cat, but they really were a perfect match.

Dwight was torn between going back to Angela or starting something new with Esther. Luckily, Jim was honest with him and said what every viewer knew: Dwight was always in love with Angela and he should drop Esther to finally be with her. And for once, Dwight listened to Jim!

2 Point: Jim

It wasn't until the ninth and final season that something changed between Jim and Dwight. They started treating each other like the friends they secretly were instead of mortal enemies. But no matter how close they became, Jim was still a sarcastic prankster at heart.

When Dwight wanted Jim to finish his sentence, Jim definitely did but it wasn't the answer Dwight was looking for. This kind of back and forth banter is what Office fans love most about the show. If Jim said what Dwight wanted him to, where would the fun be?

1 Finally!

Viewers were clapping in front of their screens when Jim finally admitted to someone that he had feelings for Pam. For years he had just been making heart-shaped eyes at her and not doing anything about it. By admitting his feelings to Michael, it proved how serious he was about her and that he couldn't keep living a lie.

Telling Michael was probably the best and worst decision Jim could have made. Michael gave him great advice but he was also the one who told the entire office what he heard because he can't keep secrets. Nevertheless, viewers were thrilled Jim finally said what they already knew: he was in love with his best friend.
