Elizabeth Olsen And Aaron Taylor-Johnson Movies, Ranked

Here's every collaboration between Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson ranked. Following her acclaimed turn in 2011's Martha Marcy May Marlene, Elizabeth Olsen would soon follow up with roles in Kill Your Darlings and Oldboy. In 2015 she made her debut as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch in the MCU and is currently winning rave reviews for her performance on TV series WandaVision.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been acting since 2000, but it was his lead performance in comic book adaptation Kick-Ass that saw him rise to leading man status. He's kept very busy in the intervening years, returning for Kick-Ass 2 and starring in Nocturnal Animals, A Million Little Pieces and most recently co-starring in Christopher Nolan's Tenet.

Between 2014 and 2015 he also co-starred with Elizabeth Olsen three times, so here's their unofficial trilogy ranked worst to best.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)

Avengers: Age Of Ultron cast Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen as twins Pietro - AKA Quicksilver - and Wanda Maximoff. The two were test subjects imbued with powers due to experiments by Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, and they act as antagonists against the title superheroes when they team up with Ultron, before switching sides to help stop him.

The events of Avengers: Age Of Ultron have had a lasting impact on the MCU, but the movie feels overstuffed with subplots, characters and tones. The story can often feel too busy, and while both Olsen and Taylor-Johnson do well as the twins, they often shunted to the side in favor of the main heroes. Elizabeth Olsen's accent as Wanda was soon dropped when Captain America: Civil War came around.

Godzilla (2014)

Following Roland Emmerich's infamous 1998 Godzilla, this 2014 American reboot gave the title monster the blockbuster he deserved. Gareth Evans' film was criticized for being somewhat stingy with the screentime for Godzilla himself, but it featured striking visuals and great setpieces.

Sadly, the human side of the story felt somewhat undercooked, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen's Godzilla roles both being unwritten, with the pair playing a married couple caught up in the chaos. Bryan Cranston plays Taylor-Johnson's character's father, but once he exits the movie is left without much of an emotional core, with Taylor-Johnson's performance feeling oddly wooden. Still, the movie itself works as a well-crafted Kaiju film.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

This one feels like a bit of a cheat since Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch only appear in a brief post-credits scene. Still, Captain America: The Winter Soldier stands as one of the MCU's best standalone entries, fusing great characters and setpieces while the movie managed to tell a focused story while also expanding the scope of the MCU.
