Warframe developers announced they're rewarding players with armor packs and rewards all month. March marks the official seventh anniversary of the popular free-to-play game, Warframe. Since the game's release, Warframe has developed a massive online community. At any given time, there are 10's of thousands of gamers logged in completing missions, hanging out with friends in dojos, and grinding equipment. Furthermore, the game has garnered so much support that the developer, Digital Extremes (DE), now organizes an annual convention held in Canada titled TennoCon.
Throughout the game's lifetime, the developers put their love and relentless effort into creating an intricate and rewarding game. Since its release in 2013, players have created unforgettable memories and long-standing friends. From meeting Lotus, known in the community as "space mom," to following clunky Clem around in missions, DE has consistently provided engaging in-game content. Furthermore, keeping the game from going stale, developers are known for taking community feedback seriously and updating mechanics every so often.
Warframe's YouTube announcement, reveals new in-game rewards exclusively available throughout March. Some of the rewards players can expect include armor packs, the chance to earn weapon slots, Dex Weapons/Cosmetics from any previous anniversary, and more. Besides in-game rewards, Warframe has released special edition seventh anniversary merch. Devs took inspiration from early Warframe influences and incorporated Japanese style brushstrokes into the collection. The collection is available now in their official merchandise store.
In 2013, Digital Extremes took submissions from the community to help design a Warframe that would eventually become the beloved Nova. Now, seven years later, devs are once again opening their doors to community submissions. Submitting your theme idea in the forums before March 19 puts your creative efforts into the running to design the newest Warframe. After the closing date, submissions will be reviewed and voted upon by the Community Design Council, a group of game Founders, passionate players, and long-standing community artist, Eornheit. Warframe is playable on all global PC regions and consoles.
