OnePlus Crackables 2.0 is the company's newest version of its mobile puzzle game. Powered by Google technology, the game has a plethora of digital puzzles, ranging in difficulty from beginner to expert. What's more, there's a grand cash price up for grabs, and at the same time you can help in the fight against coronavirus.
For the original version of Crackables, OnePlus worked with UNIT9 and the production studio's game director, Jakub Jakubowski, described the original as “a unique combination of a compelling, story-driven cipher puzzle game, creative use of vintage technology and modern design.” The collaboration has resumed once again with the newest version, with OnePlus also now enlisting the help of writing development firm, Sleep Deprivation Lab.
Crackables was wildly popular for a limited-time game with OnePlus explaining in the press release that over half a million community members took part the first time. Despite its popularity, the original Crackables didn't get the type of release the newest version can now look forward to, considering the original was largely dependent on attracting players by word-of-mouth only. Now, with the broader reach OnePlus has, the competition is expected to be all the more challenging, and at the same time, rewarding. For those interested, the game releases on April 14th, and registration is already open.
By joining a global community of competitors when the game officially releases on April 14th, you can compete for the chance to win a huge grand prize. According to OnePlus, the puzzles will start off easy, but then get harder as the competition progresses. Essentially, each completed puzzle allows the player to move through a "gate" and some will require working as a group with other online competitors. However, the main prize comes down to the first ten players to successfully complete the last puzzle as this will then give them the chance to compete and win the $10,000. In addition, OnePlus will also be donating a bonus $10,000 to charity to help with the COVID-19 relief efforts.
Similar to the previous version, this game is still a limited-time affair, considering gameplay will officially cease on April 30th. While the game is for both the serious and the casual competitor, the more serious ones can concentrate their efforts on time and moving through the gates as quickly as possible. With the coronavirus outbreak stopping many from leaving the house, Crackables 2.0 seems like it could be a good way to break away from the confines of home, as well as an added opportunity to give the brain a challenge, all the while helping to support people directly affected by coronavirus.
