The movie changes from Arthur on land to Arthur venturing home to the underwater Atlantis to settle his people when he hears they are planning to start a war with the people on the surface because of how they've been treating the ocean and consequently those who live under the sea. It's a fun superhero flick that's definitely worth a watch if you're a fan of Jason Momoa or Patrick Wilson!

This movie is just as bone-chilling as the first one as the nun demon is seen throughout the film, popping up in Lorraine's visions and ultimately being the demon that is haunting the family in England.

Little Children follows a tangled web of characters' lives that continually escalate throughout the film. It centers on Kate Winslet's character, whose marriage has recently fallen apart, and Patrick Wilson, who has lost intimacy in his marriage with his wife. The two meet and are instantly attracted to each other. They try to keep things platonic because Wilson's marriage is still intact, but they quickly begin an affair and plan to run away together, but of course, there are difficulties in their plan.

2 The Conjuring (2013) - 7.5

This terrifying horror film, directed by James Wan, based on the real-life investigations of Ed and Lorraine Warren stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as the Warrens. The Warrens are asked to investigate the Perron's new farmhouse where increasingly violent paranormal activity is brewing.

The events take place in the 1970s and the film does a good job of setting the scene and time period while also character building, the Warrens in particular, for future movies in the franchise. It's a classic horror film with many horror tropes including jump scares and possessions, but this film is so masterfully done and terrifying that it breathes new life into the stereotypical tropes.

1 Watchmen (2009) - 7.6

Watchmen is based on the DC Comics series of the same name. The movie follows a core group of superheroes in a darker and grittier take on the genre. The story takes place during an alternate history of the 1980s when America was at the height of the Cold War with Russia and in their universe, there are countless masked vigilantes.

A group of vigilantes comes out of retirement to solve the murder of one of their own and as they continue to investigate they find a widespread plan to kill all vigilantes that they must stop. Although the live-action adaptation of the comic book series has mixed reviews, overall it was an entertaining watch with a lot of engaging effects throughout.
