Did Malia White actually pull out Hannah Ferrier's stored drugs as revenge for the cabin argument on Below Deck Mediterranean? Bravo viewers felt it was perfectly timed to look like a set up by the production crew, but still are not sure what to believe.
Hannah and Malia were getting along swimmingly the entire season, boasting about girl power and venting about their crew. But the moment the bosun’s boyfriend and new chef came aboard, everything changed. Malia felt it was her right to be able to share a cabin with her boyfriend, even though they were not hired as a couple. Due to her stubbornness, all the other castmates were forced to change up their living conditions.
Hannah in particular didn't want to switch rooms, as it would force her to live with her longtime enemy, Bugsy. But Captain Sandy eventually got involved and granted Malia a room with her boyfriend. After the blowup about the cabins, Malia reported Hannah for having drugs on board the ship. Malia told cameras that she caught Hannah with illegal drugs aboard the boat and had no other choice but to report them. Fans then watched as the only chief stew they have known was let go by Captain Sandy.
Many fans are now asking if Malia reported the drugs as revenge. During the episode, the picture the bosun snapped looked as if she had lined the Valium box and weed pen up perfectly. But Bravo also showed numerous clips of Hannah actually holding the box that had no prescription and popping the pills, even though she tried to lie to Captain Sandy. Even with that being said, fans are livid that Hannah was let go from her chief stew position. Malia already stated that she did not report her chief stew just to get back at her. The bosun also made the point that Captain Sandy had already given her what she wanted, so there was no motive. Many Bravo viewers still feel Malia set Hannah up.
Viewers let the network and the bosun know that they were not thrilled with how entitled Malia felt once her boyfriend Tom agreed to come aboard. Some diehard fans were so upset they started a petition that called for Malia’s removal. While it does not look like Bravo will let Malia go, it also does not look like Malia acted out in malice. She has come across as a hard worker who is trying to become a captain. No one in her position would want to risk losing their license for someone who had a total disregard for rules.
