Keeping Up With the Kardashian is ending and fans wonder why the queens of reality TV have decided to let go of such an iconic chapter in their lives, but the family says the decision to cancel the show is mutual. It has been reported that some of the sisters were going to quit if the show didn't end, which ultimately pushed the series into being canceled.
Some fans are blaming Kim, Kylie, and Kourtney for the show being cut. Kim is busy with her four young children and her rap legend husband Kanye West's public breakdown. Kourtney took a break last season and simply no wishes to be involved with filming KUWTK. Kylie is making so much money with her makeup and skincare lines that she feels she has enough cash without the show. Not doing the show will make Kylie's life easier, as she and daughter Stormi would be free to leave L.A. more often. She could travel with Travis Scott on tour and do other things that also make Stormi happy.
However, despite the reasoning behind the rumors that three KUWTK sisters quit, the Daily Mail reports that the family came to a mutual and "emotional" decision to end the show. It was reported that the entire family has been in discussions about what to do for months, as far as the show continuing or coming to a close was concerned. Momager Kris Jenner stated, "I think the number 20 used to sound good until 2020, but the number 20 just seemed like the right time I think for us to take a minute and breathe and everybody slow down a bit… figure out what our next steps are." She then added, "We've had such an amazing run and we're so grateful … for every single moment and everyone we work with."
Dwindling viewership may also be to blame for the decision to stop filming. No matter the reason, they are still very grateful to their fans and the individuals who follow their lives so closely. Without people backing them in that way, they wouldn't be the empire of a family they are today. When Kim announced that KUWTK would go off the air, she wrote the message to the fans with a heavy and sincere heart. She thanked everyone for their support and loyalty.
While there have been many rumors floating around, the reasoning behind the show's end doesn't particularly matter. Fans are more concerned that a show that has been around for the better part of their youth will suddenly disappear. A sad day for KUWTK fans for sure, but never fear, reruns will be sure to air for an extended period of time...right?
